Brilliant 3 day tour of the highlands and isle of skye! It exceeded my expectations. Our guide Pete was lovely, made us all feel comfortable and took time to get to know each one of us. We saw so many places I ticked off a lot off my bucket list! I would highly recommend and use them again!

Excellent views, Isle of Skye was a highlight. This tour is a good amount of time of 5 days and was a great route to see Scotland’s beauty. We saw a lot of the countryside and scenery of Scotland and learnt about stories of Scotland history which were interesting. We passed through many historic towns and cities. Additionally there were many stops for bathroom and opportunities to grab coffee and snacks if needed. Accomodation was decent. Our tour guide Emma was truly fantastic annd knowledgeable and made the tour all the more interesting and fun.

We had an excellent day with Waseem! Not only was he prompted for the pick up, but he arrived about 10 minutes early, just to make sure that he found us and was situated and ready to go on time.

He was incredibly flexible with where we stopped and for how long. He would frequently check in with us to make sure we didn’t need to stop for water or restroom break. He even brought us some treats and hydration to enjoy on the drive.

He was a fantastic storyteller and very knowledgeable about the history and culture of the area.

On our way home we got stuck behind a really bad accident that added an extra 5 hours to our trip. Waseem’s positivity and stories were the only thing that kept us sane in the face of what could have ruined the day.

I highly recommend this tour and Waseem . Well worth the money!

We sadly wish we had been able to do this tour, but my husband has been in the Intensive Care Unit for 12 days, and is too weak to travel and has to be on oxygen for the first time. We had made this reservation months ago and paid in full. We are 3 weeks from our planned tour and I just notified the company that we are not able to come. I got an Immediate response and refund the next day! We didn't expect that (hadn't really looked at the refund policy) but are so impressed with the integrity of this company. We fervently hope to re-schedule next year when health permits, and we now plan to extend our tour plans for a longer trip on the Wee Red Bus. We are truly blessed with businesses like this one in the world.

Tiegan was the best guide ever! She was so knowledgeable about all things Scottish. The activities were so fun and full of history and highlighted how beautiful the highlands are.

Alistair was the best tour driver/guide ever (after hosts from Hawaii to European river cruises). We left informed on every aspect of Scottish geography, history, life and lore...including the often difficult to pronounce Gaelic (which he'd spell for us). The group ranging from 19-79 (me) became friends and left the fascinating Highlands with bonnie memories. Awesome!

A wonderful trip from start to finish. Our driver/guide was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and fun to be with. Cara was a considerate driver on the narrow roads. She ordered ahead for us so we could enjoy fresh lobster at a pop-up cafe. The accommodation was comfortable and there were plenty of places to choose our evening meals.

Gillian was a great guide and safe driver, wonderful little spots (yay hairy coos!!) and stories you'd never discover if all you did was search online. Food recommendations are SPOT-ON and you absolutely should ask her where to eat! Lovely choice of music throughout the journey too. Coach was clean, well-kept and modern; every seat came with 2 USB charging ports, very helpful when you have your camera app running constantly. All in all it was a wonderful and very comfortable tour and I wish I could do it all over again!

2nd tour we did with Gordon, and we enjoyed it very much! Interesting and informative tour, lots of lovely photos. Private tour is ideal because it allowed us to customize as we wanted. Highly recommend booking tours with Gordon!

My mom and I decided to take this tour as a way to see more of the highlands. I am an Outlander fan and she isn’t. You don’t need to know Outlander for the tour but it helps.

Simon was our guide. He’s amazing! Loved every moment with him. If you can have him for your tour, you’re lucky! He goes above and beyond.

Our first trip to Scotland and our Outlander Tour was one of the highlights! Our guide Paul was friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to make our experience more fun and enjoyable. His care for his charges very much appreciated. We will be happy to recommend Highland Experience Tours to friends and family, and look forward to making another tour with you!

Thoroughly enjoyed our day with Bill exploring the Cairngorms and finishing up with a visit to a favorite distillery thanks to a custom adjustment to the usual tour. Highly recommend Bill Grant for a personalized visit.

I cannot recommend this tour guide enough. Should you take one of these tours? I think you should if:

    - You do NOT want to drive on the wrong side of the road.
    - You don’t want to drive on tiny one land roads of Skye.
    - You want someone else to plan the route and figure out the best stops.
    - You are a sword / history nerd that loves to hear about battles.

Grant was amazing. He planned out the whole trip sent us several iterations of the itinerary and we made adjustments via email. He picked us up from our hotel and took care of pretty much every aspect of the trip. He told us the best places to stay and reminded us to get bookings for dinner. He either got us a ticket to an attraction or told us how to easily do it. He timed everything out so that we arrived at each place when we were supposed to. He had tons of historical facts about the landmarks we were seeing, and answered all our questions. At one point the restaurant I booked at had canceled my reservation for an unknown reason. He took it upon himself to call and sort it all out. The last day we threw him a curveball and wanted to see something else and he very easily changed the itinerary and accommodated the changes easily. He built in stops for us to get great photos, taste scotch and learn how to use a backsword. He took a ton of photos for us. He was asked all the time for photos from random people because some of the time he is in a Kilt and he happily obliged.

He was a great conversationalist and we were never bored for the three day tour. He knew exactly when to get to site to avoid crowds and we got amazing photos without a ton of people in them. He was also an amazing driver, who navigated all the tiny roads with ease. I would 100% book again for something else if I came back to Scotland.

An excellent tour with Drew a very good and knowledgeable guide it was a pleasure to spend the day in his company, even when a couple of changes had to be made during the tour he made great choices and kept us all informed of what was happening. Would definitely recommend this as a great day out
