What travellers are saying
- FarAway54519904417Mumbai, India1 contributionI visited in September, not the ideal weather for sun-rise/ set but the fog and breeze, view at the top is a different worthwhile experience. As clouds pass through you, they condense and form water droplets on your eye lashes and hair and can feel goose bumps literally!!
To add, we had a great guide/ companion in Yogesh MD(+91 94481 52 373) who was very friendly and a good knowledgeable localite! Yogesh being a ex-Taj employee has a great network and made our journey more memorable by suggesting right places to visit at right times!
The road to the top is extremely rocky and he was very clear suggesting the challenges for a senior citizen unlike a few other guides who suggested otherwise.
Do not carry any plastic items or eatables as the forest officers at the entrance are very strict.
Nominal charge - Rs. 2500 ( including entry fees and parking).
MUST VISIT IN COORG!

We visited couple of times and found the place crowded every time. It is a well-maintained garden that offers nice valley view, however when we visited, it was foggy and hence could not get much view. The garden also offers certain activities like zip lining, toy train etc. In the evening, we witnessed musical fountain, which was though small and with music in local language, was enjoyable. The place presents a refreshing setting and enjoyable environment especially for family. An ideal place for leisurely stroll and relax.Written 16 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Sandy_JSRJamshedpur, India1,564 contributionsAn ancient temple, located within the town. The temple has a nice architecture with a water tank adjacent to temple. When we visited on a rainy day, it was less crowded and hence darshan could be done quickly. The temple had a calm atmosphere, we spent some peaceful family time inside the temple. Temple has specific opening time and dress code.Written 16 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Sandy_JSRJamshedpur, India1,564 contributionsCoorg has several coffee Estates; our cab driver took us to Mountain View Coffee estate. There is an entry fee of Rs. 200 per pax, which appears to be high. A tour guide was assigned with us, who toured us the plantations areas and explained about various types of coffee and other plants and trees like Rudraksha, Pepper, Bay leaf, Banana, etc. The estate has an elevated viewing point, that provides a nice view of surroundings. At the end, they offered free coffee. Also at the endpoint, there is a shop that selling coffee, chocolates and souvenir items. The entire tour may not be much time consuming. Overall a decent experience of touring Coffee Estate.Written 16 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sandy_JSRJamshedpur, India1,564 contributionsBasis TA listing, visited the shop for some Chocolate buy. The shop offers varieties of chocolates of different flavor and taste. The shop also seems to be generous in offering chocolate to the customers for testing before buy. Chocolates were priced in the range of Rs. 1200 to Rs. 2500-Rs. 3000 per kg, price-wise comparable or may be slightly higher than the other alternatives in the town. Packaging was good and suitable for carry. However, there is minimum quantity fixed for buying, which was 300 grams in most of the cases, one can buy assorted chocolate too.Written 10 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
