Great place to visit, don't take kids below 5 years, 4.5 km off road cost around 1500 per Jeep, only professional drivers or well experienced people can drive. Good time to visit from 7 am to 10 am / 3 pm to 6 pm. Don't visit on peak summer.

A beautiful valley, flowers, and mist laden mountain ranges. You can stroll in the garden and spend some time amidst greenery and blooming flowers. Also you can see sunrise or sunset and capture the beautiful moments
You can witness musical fountain in the evenings as it dances to the tunes of foot tapping music

An ancient temple, located within the town. The temple has a nice architecture with a water tank adjacent to temple. When we visited on a rainy day, it was less crowded and hence darshan could be done quickly. The temple had a calm atmosphere, we spent some peaceful family time inside the temple. Temple has specific opening time and dress code.

Just out of Madikeri. Can be very crowded at times. Parking can be chaotic at times. Walk some steps to reach there. Breathtaking view. Area not kept clean.

Kote Betta is an excellent place for people who love adventure and exciting sports like trekking or rock climbing. There is a temple of God Shiva situated at the top. On your way through the trekking trails, several wild animals like Sambars, Mongoose, Indian Squirrels, Gaurs, can be spotted. The slope is not too steep and the tracking trails are quite amiable therefore making it easy for people to enjoy a nice comforting Trek to the top of the hill. The view that you will be able to witness from the top of Kote betta is worth capturing for the gorgeous landscapes, clear and glistening blue sky that binds the whole ambiance together.

This place is least crowded of all the waterfalls in and around Madikeri. The place isn't commercialized yet and is still serene.

Their is a signage not to take a dip near falls, may be deep and the locals worship this falls to maintain sanity. You may play in the water near the shallow area which few hundred meters away from the falls.

    Don't litter the place.

Coorg has several coffee Estates; our cab driver took us to Mountain View Coffee estate. There is an entry fee of Rs. 200 per pax, which appears to be high. A tour guide was assigned with us, who toured us the plantations areas and explained about various types of coffee and other plants and trees like Rudraksha, Pepper, Bay leaf, Banana, etc. The estate has an elevated viewing point, that provides a nice view of surroundings. At the end, they offered free coffee. Also at the endpoint, there is a shop that selling coffee, chocolates and souvenir items. The entire tour may not be much time consuming. Overall a decent experience of touring Coffee Estate.

The Government Museum is housed in a Church building, that is located within Madikeri fort premises. This is relatively a tiny museum. The exhibits include stone and Bronze images of God & Goddess, varieties of swords, Guns etc. Belongings of the General field Marshal Kariyappa, the post independent war hero, are also preserved here. There is a nominal entry fee, the museum tour may not require much time, museum is closed at 5.30 pm.
