Best playground experience by far for our two granddaughters (age4&6) we have experienced in travels throughout Ontario,New York and New England states.

We went as an adult family for the annual Christmas open house. This is a beautiful conservation area with a pond, covered bridge and mill. For the open house, the buildings were open, featuring hot cider, cookies and hot chocolate. There were horse drawn sleigh rides and a choir singing Christmas music. This is a beautiful place anytime but especially enjoy this annual event.

Because I go to school in Madoc and have many friends in the area, I have spent a lot of time at the skate park. One thing that I enjoy the most about the park is the how it’s in close proximity to downtown Madoc, but it is far enough that there is tons of space to do your own thing. The area is also a good place to pack a picnic and spend the day there with your family. Not only is it a skate park, but it also has play equipment and a splash pad, so it's fun for everyone. The only reason why I don’t give this park a 5 out of 5 is because the washrooms and change rooms are barely ever open and you have no choice but to use a portapotty. But other then that, I would recommend this place to anyone in the area.

This Visitor Center is located in the basement of the Library. It has different "open times" than the Library, so call ahead to make sure that they're open.

I had called a week or two before our trip and spoke to Leigh Anne, who was extremely helpful. On our visit, we met with her, got questions answered, and picked up some publications.

We often attend this golf course as a couple and a foursome, we have even had a couple tournaments here. the staff is very friendly and accommodating and definitely go out of there way to make your game enjoyable. It is not a tough course but an enjoyable 12 hole course.

A most enjoyable and convivial lunch stop.

We stopped here for a planned lunch break on our way to Perth last week as I had spotted Al’s Best Bitter on their list of brews. We enjoyed the charcuterie platter with our Best Bitter.

7/26 has done a great job on developing one of our favourite pub ales. If you like IPA and/or hoppy beer you should try this. It was a bit cold right out of the tap but as it warmed the taste came out. It was very good; we bought some for home.

    We highly recommend 7/26.
