My wife and I hired Snami to take us around the island. Nikos, our driver, went above and beyond in every aspect. He recommended areas to go to, took us to a beautiful overlook, prepared a picnic, and a fantastic dinner in a palazzo. We had a long day of driving around Crete and Nikos was able to share the island's rich history. Our day was truly enhanced by having Nikos and we will never forgot how special he made our day! Wishing him all the best and looking forward to seeing him and using Snami next time we visit Crete!

This was a fabulous tour. The beauty of the scenery and the historical perspective on the pre Minoan and Minoan civilization was perfect. Our guide for the day was Elissavet. She is a treasure. Her in-depth knowledge of the history of Crete, along with her passion for all things Cretan, made her the perfect guide. This was our first tour of Crete . Elissavet shared her love of Crete with us, and we quickly bonded over Olive oil, Cretan wine , honey, and the Minoan civilization. Knossos Palace was a delight as you could see what remains of the greatest Palace of the Bronze Age. It is a complex so vast and spectacular that it was relegated to myth. Thank uou having us such a wonderful memory of Crete.

After watching an Instructional video you get a hands on instruction from the dive Instructor regarding the gear and techniques necessary. They give great care to make sure everyone feels safe and well instructed. Overall a lovely Experience with Nice people, would definitely recommend if you are interested.

It was OK! We attended as a family for something different to do. We had good expectations but we felt it was just OK.

The food was simple and there was an OK choice but it was not covered and flies were landing on the potatos, bread and watermelon etc . You then had to clean your own table and scrape food into the bin yourself! I wouldn’t have expected this despite it not being table service. The drink choice was wine or water only. No soft drinks or coffee, for example.

Entertainment was good in fairness and inclusive though it was a little repetitive and probably went on a bit too long. It was a long night!

I must add - The older lady that seemed to manage the establishment was rude, brusk and was not at all friendly. She pushed past people and gave dirty looks all night. She had zero customer care and her rudeness was off putting. Not a good example for other staff.

I’m not sure I would recommend this night and I think you can get a similar experience from a local taverna in town for the cost of a meal as most offer shows that are similar for free. We left feeling disappointed!

Stop looking for another tour group, this is the one!

Our guide Roula treated us as if we were family, took time to show and explain to us unique characteristics of the areas we visited and drove through. Maria’s lunch was among the best meals we ate on our trip. Any future trip to Crete will undoubtedly involve another booking with Roula

We had an absolutely wonderful time with Andreas. He was prompt and met us at our hotel in old town Chania. He was delightfully entertaining on the long trip to Heroklian and shared interesting insights and history of different places that we cross along the way. The car (Range Rover) was comfortable , clean and well stocked with cool water.

Andreas also shared several interesting facts in Knossos Palace and showed us various aspects of the room. We never felt rushed and felt it was entirely worth the money. Highly recommended.

The entire experience was fantastic. Nikos was a top tier driver, extremely well spoken, and was able to share excellent facts and history about the region. We were treated to local cuisine and snacks. We were given plenty of time to enjoy Elafnosi. They were also the only tour we could find that would pick up in Heraklion. Highly recommend!

    BEST TOUR IN CRETE
My family and I booked a Private Tour with Explore Real Crete and Stavros was our guide for the day and he delivered……
Well we had three generations together which is not easy to please specially kids but Stavros pulled it off, he very funny and knowledgeable about Crete and local traditions, we visited an olive oil factory, a few old traditional villages, enjoyed iced coffee in the village of Mochos and picked fresh strawberries 🍓 from the farms on the Lasithi Plateau while enjoying a glass of local wine. At the end we enjoyed lunch at a family restaurant up on the mountain. The kids had a great time and even my husband that didn’t really want to join us in the morning loved the experience.
I am not very good with words but all what I can say is that we had a great day.
Book this tour without hesitation .

Honestly the best fishing trip experience ever. The captain was very experienced and knowledgeable. Been on a few in tenerife this was 20x better than them. He did everything he could to try and catch. It paid off and i had one the best and memorable catches in my life. It was exhausting landing the fish but well worth it. Would recommend this trip to anyone!!!

Dimitrios was our amazing driver and tour guide today to Elafonisi Beach. We were treated to excellent service, peaceful driving, and lots of education on Cretan history which we thoroughly enjoyed. We stopped to enjoy the sea and the beauty of the beach, as well as snacks, and a delicious dinner along the way. This is a must for your first trip to Crete.

It was a rough terrain to get down the pathway to this most beautiful beach, easy for young people though! The view is stunning and water is amazing! I highly recommend this trip with Dimitrios as your driver! Dimitrios was a very knowledgeable and excellent driver for this terrain! His spirit and love for life was amazing and we all really had fun! Best driver ever!!!

We stayed in Heraklion and we wanted to check out Chania, Rethymnon, and Lake Kournas without spending a fortune on Taxis. This "excursion" is perfect for that. It gets you to visit all these places. Do not expect much from the guides--are not terribly helpful or charismastic. You have maximum 1 hour an 45 min to each place and you are on foot so don't expect to explore in depth. They drop you off at the water side of each place which is all we wanted/expected. Did shopping, ate/drank at cafes and enjoyed the views. It takes an entire day--longer if tour-mates are late--because the time to drive to these places on your own would take 60-90 min. Theres a lot of time spent sitting around on the bus taking naps which was good for us because we stayed out way too late the night before.
