- Erin F6 contributionsWe went to Crete on a day when we couldn’t find a regular tour on GetYourGuide and Snami were able to put together a custom itinerary for us that included everything we wanted to see! Our guide Nicholas (Nikos) was incredible giving us a ton of history and local information as we went. He took us to an amazing place for lunch that we never would have found on our own. Professional divers, full instruction given, my daughter was a beginner and she is now fully intent on doing more scuba diving in the UK because they guys helped her so much and made it a memorable experience. - ASonnier4 contributionsWe had a private tour scheduled and at the last minute our port changed. This company was so accommodating and adjusted to meet us at our port. Our guide Panos was entertaining, enthusiastic, and very knowledgeable of the area. We wanted to see Elafonisi but due to wind/weather the conditions were not good for that but we were able to adjust and have a fantastic time. Panos brought us to an amazing Tavern for lunch and then serenaded us on the trip back to the port. - Rob G1 contributionHonestly the best fishing trip experience ever. The captain was very experienced and knowledgeable. Been on a few in tenerife this was 20x better than them. He did everything he could to try and catch. It paid off and i had one the best and memorable catches in my life. It was exhausting landing the fish but well worth it. Our guide, Elissávet, gave us the true understanding of the influences and layers of history of the exceptional sites and people and natural forces that formed Crete and the Greek Isles. She, along with our Driver, Stefanos, made us feel like their family- actually we loved them. Elissávet also helped us with some other sites and insight into them even though she was not our guide at the time. They treat you like family and let us customize the end of the trip a little so we could spend more time at a place we were very eager to see. The van is clean and Stefanos is a great driver and such a sweetheart. Tina is now practically family to us and we love her and couldn’t recommend this trip enough! Her attention to detail, go getter and accommodating personality , perfect English, and her passion for her countries history set her far ahead of any other guide we have ever had in our 38 countries worth of travel. The tour itself was so fulfilling. It was executed flawlessly by our amazing driver and we felt safe. We also felt that every minute was spent well, the itinerary covers so much amazing ground. Bring your positive attitude and explorer hat and you will walk away with your mind blown. A private boat tour arranged by Snami Travel where driver Dimitrios took care of our transport by road and captain Aggelos of Creta Luxury Cruises by sea. Diving off the yacht at sweet water beach, Domata, Agios Pablo’s, Marmara, Loutro, Balos…one even more beautiful than the other. Our guides were friendly and so knowledgeable- not only about history but also local culture. Each stop had rich history, the sites were busy but not overly crowded like some other historical places. Knossos palace was beautiful, the wine tour was amazing, such a beautiful location, lunch at a local restaurant was delicious and the museum was full of history and myth!

- Lovetotravel12 contributionsThis is a must!!! It was one of the most authentic days that we’ve ever had on our travels. Not only did we learn a lot about Crete and the Cretan people, we were given the history of this beautiful land. So many to thank for our full and enjoyable day. Alexander was a wealth of information and you can tell he really loves his job but more importantly Crete. He really shouldn’t be so good at this as we will all be moving here to join him. Dimitri was an incredible driver who steered us through many tight roads and hills. He reminded me that I should wear my long sleeved sweater as their are many brambles on the Truffle hunting trip and I was glad I did.
Thank you to Niko and his Truffle hunting dog that we all fell in love with. What an amazing experience to have. We found a few truffles which was so exciting as it’s just the start of the new truffle season.
Our cooking class and dinner with Nikofaro was unforgettable, an experience we will never forget. The hospitality shown to us was beyond words. I wish we could relive the experience again and again.
