Very moving experience. See the movie before going to the memorial. Be sure to get memorial tickets ahead of time. You can not get them otherwise. There are also other displays with movies to watch. The shuttle to Ford Island was efficient. We went to the USS Missouri. Our tour guide Lindsey was great. We did not have enough time to go to the Aviation Museum.

The museum is a learning experience, with lots of history for everyone, there's a boat ride...to see up close the USS Arizona Memorial, and a complimentary video hall, also a souvenir shop for purchasing items

We visited the palace on Friday starting at noon with the Royal Hawaiian Band on the lawn of the palace. Great music, history and culture. We did the self guided audio tour of the palace. The tour as well as the guides on each floor were very helpful and informative. This is a must visit when you’re on Oahu!

Well worth the stop especially if you enjoy history. She is a beautiful ship and should be seen by all. My adult sons felt this was their favorite out of all the sights of Pearl Harbor.

We tried for two days to get reservations right at 7:00 am when tickets dropped but could never get the website to load unfortunately. Demand is high! There are walk in tickets available for every time slot, not many though. We arrived at Hanauma Bay at 6:30 am and waited in our car, outside the park on the road, to enter at 6:45 am. You will see all the white tour vans sitting out on the road waiting as well. There is someone sitting on a bench with a blue umbrella, that person hands out walk in tickets (you still need to pay at the window when your reservation time arrives). Six of us were able to get walk in tickets for 8:00 am thankfully. Love the snorkeling and saw many different types of fish. Staff are all very helpful. The tram up and down the hill is very handy. Food is expensive, but choices are limited. Highly recommend for a great beach day!

We hiked up to the top of Koko Crater on Tuesday at around 8 am. The trail was not too busy this early in the morning. And the sun is not as intense as later on in the day. It took us around 35 minutes to reach the top. We made several 1-2 minute stops to enjoy the views and take pictures. The steps are well maintained. Wear sport/hiking shoes with good support and grip. Steps are higher than standard stairs. It's safer to hike on a dry day. I suspect it can get slippery when the steps and loose gravel are wet. The best rewards when reaching the top are the awesome views. We hiked down after about 20 minutes. The hike down was faster. Watch your steps and be careful on the way down. There is no need to rush. We stepped aside to let people pass. Parking is free. There are bathrooms at the park but none on the trail. It's good to bring water and stay hydrated.

Busy but Beautiful! I guess it’s to be expected, going after Christmas and before New Year that it would be busy. I’ve never seen Waikiki beach so busy. It was still beautiful and enjoyable until someone decided to put their towel right on mine. Can we not respect at least a one foot between people. I don’t think that’s too much to ask for. Personal space people.

I'd call this a must-see. We didn't see any whales but otherwise it was perfect.

We had a rental car, and easily found a parking space on the road. As advertised, the walk is a steady, moderate climb on a smooth, wide paved path. We saw a powered wheelchair at the top and there were plenty of strollers.

You get about ten different amazing views on the way.

There will, of course, be wind. I'll bet if you set up a team downwind you could run a business selling people their own lost hats.

There's no toilet facility here, but there is at Sandy Beach Park, just a tad before Makapuu as you come from Diamond Head.

As a retired submariner, I’ve been to a few submarine museums, and I think this is the best one I’ve ever been to. In addition to the World War II submarine USS Bowfin, the museum has two large halls. One hall is devoted to World War II submarine operations in the Pacific and the other hall is devoted to submarine operations since the end of World War II. Both are very informative and very well done.

The Bishop Museum proved to be a hidden gem, offering a nice blend of educational and entertaining elements. Its well-curated displays, immersive exhibits, and friendly staff make it a worthwhile destination for anyone interested in Hawaiian culture and history.

We visited the Cemetery on our way back to Waikiki from Pearl Harbor. It was nice to end our day walking around the memorial, reading the information and taking in the impressive view.

If you have a car on Oahu, don't miss going to National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.

It was an impeccably wonderful stay at the heart of Hawaii.

I felt like I was pampered and relaxed.

I have only a few hiccup on the overall stay!

Interesting museum about US army history focused on Hawaii. Lots of history and learning here.

    Well organised with written explanations.

    Has a gift shop.

Free admission with signing of guest book required.

A guided tour would be good.

It's near the beach and the Hilton Hawaiian Village.
