Manoa Falls was beautiful!! About a 30 min hike uphill. Once you reach the waterfall be careful. The waterfall area is rocky to get down to and you are really not supposed to go down into the waterfall area due to possible falling rocks. Waterfall was beautiful…the trail was also beautiful! Definitely a must do!

The trail is extremely muddy in many areas, so your footwear will be put through the mud ringer. Additionally, this volcanic mud takes some scrubbing to come off. I had some on leg even after a swim in the ocean & the hotel pool. There is a parking lot at the start. It took us about an hour to get to the waterfall. You'll be walking over some small boulders and across a small river. The trail is marked with ribbons and navigation is straight forward. I wore my bathsuit so I could just get into the water when we reached the waterfall. Not much of a swimming hole but the tiered waterfall is glorious!

We hiked up from Kionale Road. Paid for the parking at the church 45-550 Kionaole Rd, Kaneohe, HI 96744 , $10. There was someone out at least casually looking over the cars so I felt it was safer than the street for sure.

Easy hike that was made with a 4 yr old and Grandma 74. Turn Left before the water tank and Right at the Blue arrow and you can't miss it. If you don't find these 2 landmarks, you can follow the trail higher and higher. Not sure where you will end up, so look for the Blue Arrow. Beautiful vistas and lots of shade on the trail. We did it with Tennis shoes, highly recommend water.

A bad element hangs out here. I've found used condoms and needles under the bridge. That being said, as a kid, I'd come here often to jump off the high rocks into the forest pool. Sometimes there's a posse out here that makes you feel unwlecome, and a huge problem with graffiti on the rocks. That being said, the river and yes are Jurassic, quite something to behold.

We went during the wet season so it was a muddy hike. We parked at the golf course and did the hike from here (vs Old Pali Road access). We did read other reviews that the golf course doesn't always let you park here (busy weekends), we were there on a Friday afternoon and it was empty. Park fatherest corner from the club house and follow the paved pathway. You'll get to a graffiti building, you'll see the path to the LEFT before that (don't go around it). Follow the path up, you'll eventually get to a stone path way (in our case it was very mud covered) and it was very over grown (felt like we were going to the witch's house). Then you'll get to a section that has 5 (I think it was 5) fallen very large tree trunks, as the last one TURN RIGHT (there is an arrow cared, but worn, into the tree) if you miss this turn you'll end up at the Old Pali Road. Follow that to the stream that leads to the waterfall. We had the falls to ourselves. It wasn't as tall as Manoa, but it was quiet and peacful and way less muddy. I think it took us about 40 minutes at a slow pace.
