This is an interesting modern art museum featuring Hawaiian artists where the art focussed on the Hawaiian culture, geography and spirit. Some interesting political artwork and photographs highlighting Hawaii’s modern struggles, particularly against the USA. Staff are helpful and happy to answer questions about the art. It’s quite a small exhibit, we took around 45 mins to go round everything and we were taking our time. Skippable if you’re short of time but if you’re in the area worth dropping by (particularly as it is free). Very nearby to Iolani palace which is why we were in the area.

This is an excellent little museum that provides some background on development of justice system in Hawaii. The First bit covering this is a bit disjointed - certainly is not western linear presentation, but the info is useful. I found the small section on life in Hawaii after the attack on Perl Harbor most informative - gave real persective on mentality and efforts that develped after the siege. Highly recommended.

A nice little base that is 100 times better than any other base in Louisiana. The people are friendly however the roads are a bit confusing and on the smaller side. I strongly suggest using GPS at first

While near the Palace go and visit the Hawaii State Capitol building, a great piece of architecture and well worth a quick wander around and through the building open centre

We roamed by this important building downtown and appreciated its grandeur. Not the most important site, but pleasant enough.

My wife and I attended the CCJ meeting in Honolulu this past February before the pandemic hit. A reception was held at Washington Place across from the Hawaii State Capitol. It is a beatifically restored building which once was the residence of Hawaii’s last queen and many of its governors. Docents were present to give us a brief tour of the first floor rooms. It is an interesting place and we had an enjoyable evening there.

A very attractive historic building with a big green space out front. One of many reasons why it's worthwhile to take a tour of downtown.

Located in the same area as the Judiciary Building and Iolani Palace, this building is often seen as the home of the Honolulu Police Department on Hawaii Five-O. It is a two story building with a large central staircase with large decorative columns.

This is a handsome building downtown, very near the Clock Tower and cruise ship port. A bit surprising for a tropical city, like Manhattan.

Was hoping to visit but it seemed no one was ever there when we went by. Older station with some great architectural elements such as the swing out doors. Needs a little work as one of the doors and windows were covered in plywood. I, at first, thought it was a shut down station until I saw cars stopped in back.
Did get to stop and talk to the FF's at station #7 at Waikiki Beach. Very nice bunch, very will to talk and was able to get a few t-shirts from them.
