We were lucky enough to be in Seattle on a Sunday and headed to the Ballard Farmer’s Market shortly after 10am. We had a wonderful experience!
The Market is large and features vendors selling produce from the Pacific NW. It had a wonderful selection of fruits, vegetables, meats, seafoods, etc., from passionate vendors. There were also great places to grab a bite to eat: pastries, tacos, crepes, etc. And there were a few vendors selling handmade items. The market avoided any sense of a junky flea market; the vendors were of high-quality and the stalls were very well-organized.
Parking was a bit of a challenge, but not overwhelming; just be prepared to circle a bit and be willing to walk a couple of blocks once parked. Crowds on an October morning were not overwhelming; we were able to have distance from other market-goers.
While in the area, check out the cool shops and restaurants along Ballard Ave. Highly recommended!
