They have multiple shows during the night, at every 30-40min!
We wanted to enjoy some jazz music that wasn't a sit down concert as such and this was the perfect place.

You want to have a good time listening good music, having a drink in a concert "like" ambiance, away from the crowdy and full of tourists and drunks Bourbon street?
Make sure to check out their website, as they have a few shows a day.

Do not mistake Maison Bourbon Preservation Hall with the Preservation Hall across the street which offers 3-4 shows a day and requires tickets.

The food was top notch and we also took in a world class jazz concert by the world famous Ike Stubblefield Trio.
It's a small very nice place with restaurant (extraordinary cheeseburgers and pecan pie!!) a nice bar and a small stage with everyday shows starting at 8 and 10 pm.

But the best two aspects of the Jazz Park are the excellent ranger walk while discussing the history of jazz and a bit about the city itself and also the free concerts by rangers and guest musicians.
We saw a piano/banjo concert (all for free, by the way) at the visitor's center and then went down to mint for an amazing concert (classical up to contemporary) by a young man with other amazing musicians backing...

The NOLA House of Blues is a great venue, loads of different spaces for concerts, food and drinks.
Awesome place to watch a concert

The Old Mint is also a great venue for jazz concerts provided with most interesting info about jazz and New Orleans by the US National Parks Service jazz band and other renowned local musicians.
What is really amazing are the free morning Jazz tours lead by rangers through the French Quarter as well as the free afternoon jazz concert at 2PM.

Look upon this as a jazz “concert” with a lovely meal, not one of the fasted food joints in the Quarter.

Mr. Brunet hosts the Classic Movie Series (from Gone with the Wind to Breakfast at TIffany's) his stories of working in the theatre are the best!
It has regular movies by day and has a classic, quaint look to the theater.

We attended the Sarah Mclachlan/Josh Groban concert and were blessed with mild weather mid July !
Great outdoor venue but make sure your concert has reserved seats otherwise you will be standing festival pre-riot style and I'm too old and crusty to stand for anything for 2 or 3 hours.
