I’m not Catholic but this church is beautiful. Take cash for candle donation areas. There’s a tiny gift shop in the front. Get your pet a saint tag. Walk around the back too!

Great looking house and has a lot of history. Additionally, this house is where comedian Mark Normand lived as a child, as heard on Chrissy Chaos podcast episode 129.

The Elms Mansion is a beautiful old building in Saint Charles street. The Street car runs right past it. Really nice and worth a look.

We were so lucky to be in town for the first live concert by Lyrica Baroque since covid. There were strict covid protocols with vaccination and ID checked. The music was divine and in a setting that matched. Thank you for making safety so important that we could have live music again.

We came upon this mansion on our own after completing a tour of the Garden District. It happened to be open for tours when we were there for $15. Why not?

What struck me as very unusual about this mansion is photography is encouraged and nothing says, "Do Not Touch." In fact, you can sit on the furniture! Amazing. Completely enjoyed the tour.

The outside of this mansion was used in the movie "Django Unchained" and it is directly across the street by the former mansion of Anne Rice & later, Nicolas Cage.

The Wedding Cake House actually does look like a wedding cake with all the pillars around the base and upper level. Worth a look.

Free and open to the public. Chances are you’ll cross this in your exploration of the French quarter so why not have a look. It doesn’t take but about 10 minutes to see everything and the courtyard is beautiful. Great photo op with nice scenery in background. Although they do not let you go into the courtyard so you can take photos on balcony. Small pottery collection and history of building. Great break from souvenir shops

Generations Hall is a very large hall that is open for rent for functions. Nice location in the Art district and close to the warehouse district.

These are very old buildings that run down the sides of Jackson Square. The bottom level is all different shops and the upper level is apartments. Worth a look if you are in the square

The house is on private property so you can’t go up to it and the area is extremely run down but it didn’t feel unsafe visiting. Worth a short detour to see.
