Historic area of New Orleans and it features a lot of businesses, restaurants, and some incredible architecture. Walk through and make sure you stop into any of the shops that catch your fancy.

We did not take a tour but rather just took the St. Charles streetcar up to the Washington street stop and got off there. From the stop one can walk one block over to The corner of Washington and Prytania street and the

This is a beautiful area with lots to offer. The square has gorgeous vegetation, statues, benches, & eclectic individuals who show off their talents. The day we went there was a magician who was wowing the crowd. The area would be a beautiful wedding venue especially with the church in the background.

So glad to note that Royal St comes out ahead of Bourbon St now in things to see.
For this street is clean, classy, upmarket, has unique little gift shops and cafes and has retained its old world French colonial charm.
Just what you expect from this area of New Orleans and a world away (although next door) from Bourbon St.

Super disappointed. Streets were dirty. Shops all had the same stuff. Walk the whole thing before you by as the same item varies in price up to 5 dollars. So much hype. The food is amazing and the hotels are great. We don’t drink so not a place we will come back too

Julia Row now appears to be a new and modern block of apartments built on Julia Street. Lots of art galleries in the vicinity.

I have been to New Orleans dozens of times, can imagine a trip without this nice 15 minute walk along the river. Great places to sit and stay for a while, and historic markers that tell the story of this riverfront city.
