Never heard of the artist playing but the music was great! We were able to get a seat at the bar. No cover on a Saturday night. Bartenders were attentive. People in general friendly. Felt safe.

What a great experience so good we went back 3 night we were in N.O. despite trying other venues nothing compared to Fritzel’s

They have different make up of talented musicians each night who played a great selection of jazz and blues songs most of which you can sing along with. What a fabulous atmosphere

Downside it’s packed every night. But with patience you can get seated close to the front if you want.

The staff are great friendly and quick despite the crowds drinks are average priced.

Great National Park Service staff - helpful, enthusiastic, well-informed. We were there as a performance was just wrapping up, but an impressive indoor hall for the audience,, and the museum/displays were done well.

That’s more like it! Fabulous jazz combo with a great singer.
No cover charge and reasonable bar prices.
Didn’t get people who stood in the door and filmed then left when the barmaid approached.
Second visit not so good, different band and the main guy talked too much and played too little.

We had a great time yesterday evening, enjoying the music of the Brass Band "Brass-a-Holics". They were just wonderful musicians. Joyful music, played with enthusiasm. People were singing and dancing along. Thank you to the Jazz Playhouse for this unforgettable evening!

What fantastic music! We saw 2 bands on 2 nights, but they change up more than that. All were exceedingly talented. It's small and crowded, but the wait staff is on it! Busy, yet not noisy and courteous customers there for the music. Its also very near Canal Street and the Marriott.

Stumbled upon this bar and loved it! Great cocktails and live jazz music. Susan and Paully are excellent bartenders, and the crowd was the right level of fun and friendliness.

This place is ridiculous! We got there around 1am and this band called Toubob Krewe went on stage! We weren't even planning to see them and it was seriously one of the best shows ever! We were at the front dancing the whole time! Their music was very unique and relaxing. The bartenders were super sweet and fast. We met a bunch of the locals and everyone was extremely friendly and generous. We will definitely go back next time. They have a really cool outdoor area in the back with trees. Little dive bar with a local feel, felt a little conscious of being there as a tourist but still enjoyed an awesome night out watching Soul Rebels brass band who were amazing.

A friend and I went to the New Orleans Jazz Market, where I was the only person who was not local. This is a contemporary performing arts venue and jazz community centre for people of all ages. It has a theatre, full size bars, meeting rooms and interactive learning spaces. Local musician, Irvin Mayfield, a Grammy and Billboard-award winning Jazz musician with 25 albums to his name founded the centre. They had their regular Wednesday night jam sessions, where local musicians perform. I thoroughly enjoyed it and saw some of the musicians on the stages of the Jazz and Heritage Festival over the next couple of days. This city is just filled with the most amazing music and unbelievable talent.

The first time I entered Siam Cafe, I had high standards for this restaurant to satisfy me. Why? Because I've heard so many incredible things about it since I was in high school about 10 years ago. The ambience is wonderful. When you walk in, the lights are very dim, and the conversations amongst the guests is murmured. The servers seat you wherever you feel comfortable. The best part is that if you don't feel like sitting at a table, you can step into the corner, which provides you traditional Thai seating on the wooden floors, with plush pillows, and a low table. You must remove your shoes ofcourse, and the lighting is even more intimate, perfect for a date or great time amongst your close friends. The decorations are gorgeous and the music is set at the correct volume. If you are looking for a loud, bright atmosphere, this isn't your place. I would recommend a hot sake when you are seated, to get you in the mood for the delicious food they have to offer. Their menu has so many different dishes to please everyone, especially the vegetarian. They can prepare your dinner however you would like, and you can choose the spiciness of it as well. Their spring rolls are the best I've ever tasted. You get 4 crunchy rolls filled with Thai heaven, and it comes with a sweet glaze and also a peanut buttery dipping sauce for your pleasure. The pad Thai and their green curry is divine. Make sure you get it spicy! I haven't had dessert here yet, only because their generous portions of dinner are too filling for me to go on to dessert. The service is great and the waiters or waitresses are very humble. The prices are low, especially compared to the prices in the French Quarter, which offer you hit and miss cuisines. The prices are between $3-$13.95. Wonderful because the average dinner is $8.95. After you are done eating, you can go upstairs, where music is being played, usually by a band. There is a bar up there as well. I definitely recommend Siam Cafe to you if you are in New Orleanscome to New Orleans. We walk all the way through the French Quarter and straight to Siam's.

I complained so much about that weak 16 oz. $11.00 mango I bought in the Quarter daiquiri; that my taxi driver took me here for a 16 oz. takeout mango daiquiri. My first sip was too strong for me to handle, so I waited until I was back in my hotel room to dilute it with ice. As I drank it, I would just keep adding ice. That one drink lasted me through two days and two events.
