This is one of the best bars I've ever found, anywhere. Whenever I'm in New Orleans, I find myself at this wonderful "straight friendly" gay bar. The service isn't always fast, but it's always fun & the drinks are still at "local" prices when so many of the French Quarter bars are not. The music is always happy & fun, & a quick glance around the bar will tell you that all the locals are happy to be in such an upbeat & welcoming place. The bathrooms are very utilitarian, designed for easy clean-up - and they are, in fact, incredibly clean. The vibe is always good here, & I'm delighted to learn that they are back to their pre-pandemic business hours, meaning they are open 24 hours. It's a locals bar for sure, & a wonderful cross-section of French Quarter humanity can be found here at any hour of the day. This is the kind of place to meet old friends or make new ones at any time of the day or night. They do offer special events (drag shows et al) & I was lucky enough to be invited to the locals' Christmas potluck. If you're looking for reasonably priced drinks served with a fun, friendly bit of flamboyance, I highly recommend this place. Even if you're not gay.

Okay, we're gay...we're gonna check out the gay bars although we are not party animals or looking for anything but a good place to have a drink. So early in one day's jaunt in the Quarter, we step into Rawhide 2010 in the middle of a Tuesday afternoon. Of course at this time of day, there's only maybe 3 people in there which is fine with us. Looking at the inside of the place, the dark backroom with cruising rail, etc., the blackout shades that are lowered each late afternoon...yeah this place obviously is a place for shenanigans if you're a man that's into that. However, it is obviously a great neighborhood bar with great staff and drink prices. The one reason that I am writing this review is to note Jason, the afternoon bartender, who served me the best Bloody Mary of our entire trip to NOLA. I kid you not...I had Bloody Marys 5 or 6 times on the trip from high-end hotel bars to hole-in-walls dives on this trip. The Bloody Mary, in a large 12-ounce glass made with Rawhide's own mix was a 10 out of 10. Thanks, Jason!

Lovely staff added to a great end to the trip.
My partner and his family had spent a week exploring NOLA and on our final night we stumbled upon this bar. It wasn’t super busy but that suited us fine as we were served immediately and the bar staff had excellent stories to tell and we had the option of requesting songs and chatting about NOLA pride which we had only just missed.
Wish we could’ve spent more nights there!

We found this place while wandering around the Quarter. Staff and patrons were nice. They had karaoke going but were shutting it down when we got there, around 11, so we didn't get to sing, but it was a nice place to grab a drink anyway. I'd go back.

Beers are always cold to beat the heat. Gay or straight please to stop by, and support this bar. Friendly staff, good happy hours, lots of entertainment.

Visited on a Sat night. Had a very solid band playing. A little warm inside during Summer but a nice place. Drinks bought at the bar but easy access and nice staff. Go for the Jazz and atmosphere. Didn’t try food but they had bar bites. Full service bar with every thing you can think of to serve

The only complaint I have about this place is that it was really warm and pretty crowded for view of the performers. Get there early to get a good view.
