Tirta Gangga is a nice water palace located in Karang Asem area. It is not too big but has nice sceneries and views, worth a visit, and not too far away from Lempuyang Heaven of Gates.

Jemeluk beach is located at the heart of Amed area, east coast side of the island.
This area indeed is a quiet place loved by travelers. The jemeluk bay is also one of the best snorkeling spot in the region.
In jemeluk bay, the reef drop-off it home to gorgeous coral formations and fish for every color of the rainbow, and it can be accessed directly from the beach.
No need to hire the boat (no need to waste your money). you could swim a bit, and you will see the beauty of underwater.
Over all, Jemeluk beach is a good place to enjoy the day.

Whilst on a car tour of the local area we stopped here. The line was so long to take a photo and stand at the temple gates. Beautiful view though and worth the wait.

Good and fast boat. It shakes a lot but safe. Air conditionated inside.
Free bird is a good company .A shuttle waits for you and take you to your hotel.

What a lovely Palace, the history of this Palace is well documented. The gardens are beautifully displayed with vibrant flowers. Worth the visit, although the entry fee was slightly higher than the other Water Palace. The entry fee was 50k IR. Visited September 2018.

A unique experience with a hands on cookery lesson with two wonderful chefs.
To begin we were taken around the luscious and well kept garden to pick our ingredients where many of the food ingredients were grown.

The lesson extremely insightful and the final product was one of the best meals as a vegan we have ever had.
Their was so much food that we could eat to our hearts content. I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone weather you enjoy cooking or just curious.

    Thank you

This is not a big spot. You will see people but the pathway is big enough to share.

Locals swim and fish in a spot close to the ocean where the lagoon drains.

You can site and look at the ocean and islands or the lagoon at sun rise or sun set.

I was told by a local that the Pyramid man made reef was one of the better snorkeling spots in Amed and was not disappointed. The man made pyramid structures I came across sit at around 15-20metres in depth so would be to deep for the average snorkeler although the natural coral/reef nearby is beautiful and filled with fish.
If you're lucky you will get to see a turtle and eels like I did :)

On a nice Track trough the countryside from Sidemen, by bicycle, scooter or walking, you pass little villages, rice fields, nature and the yellow bridge over the river. Beautifull!! Sometimes a little bit steep uphill, but it is worth the effort!

Went today with family and friends and definitely worth the visit.
The sand not as white as usual no doubt due to recent heavy rains so the local kepala desa I am sure will remedy.
The water as clear as ever.
Massages great value @100,000 idr. Even reflexology by a gentleman in a funny hat. Not expensive.
Sofas only 25000 idr per day. A must.
    Cold drinks and snacks available.
Finally great views coming and going.
We stop at Jepun Bali the first of a few establishments at White Beach.
    Regards Pete and Chrissie.

During our stay in Candidasa this was one of things on the top of my to do list. The family arrived and our kids were a pain in the backside. We stayed for an overpriced lunch which was pretty good and left. The beach itself looked amazing and I was disappointed we couldn't stay longer.

There are plenty of fast boats plying the waters between Bali and the Gilli Islands and Lombok but only a couple head for peaceful Amed on the east coast of Bali. The main problem with Pacha express was that it did not have an office on the main island and therefore, you don't know where the boat is going to come ashore. I almost missed it because it was hidden by a much larger boat. The boat visits each of the three Gilli islands then heads for Bangsal on the Lombok coast before heading across the straight to Jemeluk Bay, Amed, Bali. It is never as crowded as the better known destinations. Amed is what Gilli Trawangan was 10 years ago....beach bum territory but with way better snorkeling.

Amed beach is good if you want to snorkel, you can already find nice fish and coral close to the shore, I even saw a small ray. The beach itself is black sand. When I was there it was a bit crowded on the beach and not easy to find a spot in shadows as there are transats everywhere, but the price of a transat was acceptable.
