It was my son's 18th birthday on 22nd Sep 2023 so we considered celebrating his big day at Della. Luckily it was a Friday and hence it was less crowded. We could enjoy all the activities. The entire staff/attendants of Della were extremely helpful, polite and courteous.

Boys enjoyed the SWOOP, Rocket Ejector, ATV, Flying Fox, Paintball, Bubble Soccer, Rodeo Bull Ride, Knockout, Aqua Zorb, Roller Zorb, Land Zorb, the most. We would suggest you visit Della if they want to have fun and lifetime memories.

Food is quite expensive. F&B vouchers came as a little relief. I would suggest to buy them beforehand. You have no other option than to dine at the resort.

Lohgad Fort - A Timeless Journey into History and Nature

    Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My recent expedition to Lohgad Fort unfolded as a captivating odyssey, seamlessly blending rich historical narratives with breathtaking natural vistas. Nestled in the Sahyadri mountain range, Lohgad Fort stands tall, inviting adventurers to explore its timeless charm.

The trek to Lohgad is an adventure in itself, winding through dense greenery and ascending stone-paved pathways. The air carries a mix of earthy scents and the promise of a rewarding ascent. As I approached the fort's entrance, the imposing stone walls and the sturdy bastions hinted at the fortress's storied past.

The journey through Lohgad unveiled a tapestry of historical marvels. The intricate carvings on the archaic structures, the imposing gateways, and the remnants of the fort's strategic layout spoke volumes about its role in shaping the region's history. Exploring the various sections, including the Vinchu Kata and the formidable Narayani Dwar, offered a glimpse into the military brilliance of its architects.

The panoramic views from Lohgad Fort are nothing short of spectacular. The elevated vantage point provides a 360-degree canvas of the Sahyadri range, with lush green hills, meandering rivers, and the ever-changing sky painting a picture-perfect backdrop. The beauty of the surroundings, especially during sunrise or sunset, adds a magical touch to the entire experience.

One cannot help but appreciate the conservation efforts undertaken at Lohgad Fort. Well-marked trails, informative signages, and the overall cleanliness of the site enhance the trekking experience, making it accessible for both novice and seasoned trekkers.

Lohgad Fort is not just a historical landmark; it's a sanctuary where the past converges with the present, offering a timeless journey for all who dare to explore. Whether you're a history enthusiast, a nature lover, or an adventure seeker, Lohgad Fort promises an immersive experience that transcends time.

In conclusion, Lohgad Fort is a must-visit destination that seamlessly combines history, adventure, and natural beauty. The trek to this ancient fortress is a pilgrimage for those seeking a profound connection with Maharashtra's heritage.

    Happy trekking!

Its a good place to visit.
It has 2 things to do-
    1) Go for camping
    2) Go for boating, which is just ok
    3) If not interested for camping then nothing to do.
In Monsoon season, weather is good to go but in other time, its not worthy.

This is one of the most famous view point of Lonavala hill station which is located @ 10 km away from City and besides which one can see tigers point also. both are very nearby to each other. This spot is mid-way between Bhushi Dam and Aamby Valley.

View from Lions point is very good panoramic and majestic. specially very nice during monsoon with multiple small small water falls surrounding this place. Sun Rise and Sun set also good to view from this point, From this view point we can view Tungarli Lake and Dam. This is the highest point of Lonavala hill station.
There is proposal of connecting Lions point and Tiger point through Glass Sky walk. its very initial stage as of now and take time to get it approve.

Had visited this Hindu temple in Lonavala a long back ago. This temple is a popular tourist attraction and is dedicated to Goddess Narayani.

Built in 2002, this temple is a beautiful white marble structure. The deities inside the temple are beautifully decorated with glittering jeweleries. The entrance is a 4 storeyed structure that resembled a Rajasthani palace. There are fountains lined up on the pathway from the entrance to temple. The temple has a spacious hall, rose gardens, a lodging facility and a cowshed as well. One has to remove footwear before entering the temple. A code of conduct should be maintained. Dress modestly. There is no entry fee. It is open everyday from 7 am to 10 pm. Had a delicious breakfast inside the dining hall by self service at a reasonable price.

This temple is an ideal place of worship for those who would like to seek blessings. It is a must visit and should not be missed when in Lonavala.

Though there are multiple Wax Museums in Lonavala, people attracts towards Sunil Wax Museum. This is what made me curious to think about me to check more about Sunil wax museum background. Whatever information i could able to gather I have given below if you are interested you can go through the same.

If you are reading this review only to know about Sunil's wax museum, no doubt you can visit but only drawback is maintenance is very poor. There are more than 100 statues at Lonavala Wax Museum. The best I personally felt is Thakare' s Statue. It seems to be real one and so nicely made. some of the statue's are not so realistic.

    History about Sunil's Wax museum:
Sunil's full name is Sunil Kandallor who born in a small village of Alappuzha district of Kerala. He has two brothers Sujith and Subash who are also part of this venture. The first full scale was statue that Sunil made was that of the former Kerala Chief minister Karunakaran and the second one was that of E.K. Narayanar who is also another former chief minister of Kerala. Sunil's Wax Museum venture started on 08th January 2010. Devgad and Thiruvanthapuram Museum's are opened in the year 2017.

Sunil's Wax Museum is spread across three cities in India out of which this Lonavala Wax Museum more popular. The Second one is at Devgad, Maharashtra State. The third one is latest one which is opened recently in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala State. Surprise news is he also obtained permission to start 4th one inside the Statue of Unity which is world largest statue. There were two Museums one at Kanyakumari and one at Kochi, but both were shutdown over time. I had visited Kanyakumari museum few years back.

    Museum Timings:
    Morning 09:00 to Evening 09:30

    Entry Tickets:
200 INR per adults and free for Children's below 5 years

The View from the Karla Caves is nice. The main highlight was the climb onto the Ekvira Temple which was a bit stressful for city folks like me who lack fitness. It is a 15-20 min climb from the parking lot. For Senior Citizens, we were lucky to find a "Palki" which is not known to everyone. They bargain to around 2500 to-fro journey. Overall a nice experience. The line on Saturdays is a bit long. We reached around 4 PM. It is advisable to start in the morning to avoid rush and heat.

When one visits Pawna lake from Pune one cannot miss the triangular peak formation called TIkona. During monsoon the whole facade turns green and the top provides maginficent views of the lake and surroundings.
