It was an excellent experience on the beautiful lake. We booked the entire houseboat for ourselves and it was worth it. We stayed in it overnight and were well taken care of by the staff. We were provided all 3 meals which were sumptuous and were given an amazing candle-light dinner to celebrate my wife's 67th Birthday with a very tasty cake for dessert. Thoroughly enjoyed this experience.

A blissful darshan of the little Krishna, with almost no crowd at all, the day after the water logging due to torrential rains, it was a unique experience to see the smiling face of Sree Krishna ( sandal alankar)... A dream come true ...never to be missed. The call of "Vasudeva" by one of the temple employees followed by Neivedhyam of the famous tasty pal payasam is worth all the wait.

The event which one should not miss. It is the event where the entire crowd is mesmerised with the explanation of 24 mudras.

And each mudra explains the details of the dialect being said

For those who are sensitive and aware of energies, this Kshetram is a MUST visit. The first look at Devi and you melt. 😍 All the other deities in the complex are beautifully kept especially Bhagwaan Hanuman. Don't miss it.

Good museum, displays the personal collection. Some really lovely objects including various vintage tanjore paintings, furniture, ivory, porcelain, paintings from various parts of the world, and a vintage Buick. If you've got spare time and have an interest in museums, then would definitely recommend. Gives a glimpse into the lives of the superrich.

We visited Arthunkal Basilica on the way back from kumarakom vacation. It's an historic pilgrimage centre and one of the oldest churches in India. The main church and the one built in 1561 are both well maintained and open for public to pray. A must visit if you are in this area and definitely one to explore if you have an interest in Christian history in India

Located in a place called Puliancunnoo. About 25 kms away from Alleppey town. The road that leads to the church is calming. The church has a peaceful atmosphere with the backwaters close by.

Part of a large factory and research park, the museum tells the tale of what coir is, how it’s processed and what it’s used for. More interesting than expected, you also get to see the weaving area and giant looms. Nice stop on the road to Kochi.
