- ROBERT S2 contributionsThe views are impressive. The bridge was open but we were unable to exit due to construction of the new observation patio on the other side.Written 28 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - warmandsunnydaydreamMadison, AL2 contributionsWe took three kids, two six year olds and a four year old. We got there when it opened and avoided a long line. The gondola takes longer if you choose a closed in one. They loved the decorations, bridges and especially playing in the bird houses. We had to pry them out of there. There is not an exit below them so we were able to rock and listen to the band. We ate at the restaurant with amazing views and were surprised at how good the food and service were. We are openly food snobs. We came down the mountain on the truck instead of the gondolas. When we got to the bottom, it was closer to 5pm, and the line was very long to get in. I guess people come later so they can drink and maybe Astra Lumina. I'm glad we went early. We liked it so much, we are going again at the end of the week for Thanksgiving break.Written 18 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jesse GSpring Hill, FL37 contributionsOn our journey from Florida to Gatlinburg, my family and I drove through the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and it was truly breathtaking. The stunning views left us in awe of the natural beauty surrounding us.
The winding roads were well-designed, making it manageable to haul our 32-ft Jayco trailer, though I must admit the drive had me gripping the wheel tightly at times. Despite that, it was worth it.
I highly recommend taking the time to drive through this incredible park. Be sure to pause at the scenic overlooks to take in the views and, if possible, explore the trails to immerse yourself in the beauty of the Smokies. It’s an experience you won’t forget!Written 2 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Lines were long and because of the cold, people would slide farther and some hit the security wall. Because of that they had to put extra, extra, extra break rugs which took about 30 minutes of our allotted time up there. We waited for a long time in the cold but really enjoyed the activity. We could only go 3 times because our time went up even though half of that time was used to take extra security measures... It is fake snow but still snow! Ice or whatever they use, it will be very cold. If no accidents had happened, we could have enjoyed more time to go over and over again. It was really fun. The rest of the activities were really packed. We were able to get to the top of the mountain by car which we recommend 100% instead of taking the lifts...Written 1 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sherry LFishers, IN712 contributionsWhat a hidden find in Gatlinburg! We hadn't read about the city before we visited so this was a fun place to see. The little kiddos got donuts and the adults sat and chatted and just walked around. It felt like we were in the old parts of European cities! Would recommend at least just to walk through.Written 18 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Tracy J1 contributionWasn't planning on doing the Wine Trail, but when we went into the second stop Adriana was so pleasant and friendly. Myself and future son-in-law enjoy all her knowledge and ways of what we could add to the wines. She talked about the other spots on the trail and said if we decided to purchase to come and see her at the outlet on Friday she would be there. So we did go and see her. We was standing in line for tasting and when she seen us she motioned us over.. We tried some wine and walked out with 4 bottles that day. Thank You Adriana, can't wait to come back and see you next year..Written 30 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
