You really get close to the animals and hear their sounds, see their mannerisms, and are thoroughly enthralled with their nature.
They do really informative tours around the park and I would really recommend going for a feeding.

It is well worth the $3 and the time to visit this lovely park and I highly recommend it to beach lovers and nature lovers alike.
The park has a number of picnic tables, mostly shaded under large oak trees, and there are trails that run along the shoreline as well as an overlook at the main picnic area.

It's on the banks of the St Johns river and the newest part of the gardens that was recently restored was designed by the same person that designed Central Park in NYC and others.

Shell jewelry and nic nacs were their choices!! "Beachside" shop is jam-packed with items and has a large parking lot, close to portable potty's too!! Good to know!! Quick walk to the beach - so great place to park!!
I also like Amelia Island and when I want to get away from everyone and everything I love Guana National Park (which is to the south of Jax as your headed to St. Augustine).

The place us locals call "Hanna Park" is full of things to do from kayaking and SUP riding in the clear freshwater lake or Atlantic ocean to riding mountain bikes in the world class trails.

There's a good walking/jogging trail that surrounds the entire park and always made for an enjoyable cardio session whenever the weather was nice outside.

Nested smack dab in the middle of Ortega, one of Jacksonville's most tony residential neighborhoods, Stockton Park is a true gem.
The park struck me as most impressive with the towering oak and magnolia trees.

From a multi-million playground, to a Clay Tennis facility, to basketball courts, and acres of green space this park is one of the best in Jax.
The trails are paved and gently wind up to the top of the park.

Just a nice little park with benches, they have a beautiful big gazebo and a fountain with the Lions of San Marco statue's.
The Park is also great and should be enjoyed!
