This place is huge, it would take you days, if not weeks to see every monument and read every sign. The NPS audio tour is good basic information. You can listen as you drive. It is not GPS enabled, so you have to tell it where you are, it doesn't tell you. Visitors center was poor, pretty much everything is behind a $23/pp fee, so no movie, displays, nothing. Park is amazing to see.

A visitor centre run by the NPS which gives context and information about the battlefield and the theatre of the war before you venture out. The film, cyclorama and museum are well worth the $20 pp, expect to spend at least two hours doing this bit.
Facilities are good and clean and it’s the only start you need to your visit to Gettysburg.
PS the NPS app to get the auto tour is also very good (and free!) and you will need this to make sense of what happened and when.

We stopped by the Jennie Wade House in mid-afternoon for a tour and the only time
available was a short tour. Allie was our guide and she was a gem! She is passionate about the history and did a wonderful job of having the battle come alive in the short - time - I think about 20 minutes - that we had!

The museum itself is amazing. So many unique and special articles, not just from the American Civil War, but from other periods of American history. Erik Dorr was not at the museum like I was hoping. He must be a fascinating person to have a discussion with. There were 2 employees present. One was very nice; the other was rude. Still, I am giving my visit an excellent rating because the one rude employee can't diminish how amazing this museum is. I highly recommend it. Give yourself at least one hour if you want to see everything.

We did a free tour and it was very interesting, worth taking the time to do. We didn’t wait the grounds because of the weather but the house was very nice.

My daughters gave me the 4 hour guided tour for Father's Day. It was on my bucket list. Teresa (sp) was exceptional. She gave a very concise timeline of the battle as well as answered every one of my questions (except 1, but it was not battle related).

The Gettysburg Diorama at the Gettysburg History Center was worth seeing. We were able to park our RV behind the Gettysburg Heritage Center less than a block away. The history center had a huge gift shop. If you are a fan of MAGA, Trump and Confederate paraphernalia, you will love it. If not, find out what time the next showing of the diorama is scheduled for and arrive just a few minutes in advance.

The Seminary Ridge Museum is definitely worth visiting! Each floor has been organized to reflect a specific aspect of the lead up to the battle, the battle itself, and its aftermath. The building served early in the battle as an observation post for Union forces, and then as a makeshift hospital during and long after the battle. The exhibits are a good combination of artifacts, reconstructions, and video clips designed to educate and inform in a very respectful manner. Perhaps best of all, however, is the cupola tour. While it would not be appropriate for anyone with a fear of heights, it is worth doing. For an extra fee, a Seminary guide will take you up into the cupola on top of the building and provide a detailed account of the action that took place on and around the Seminary grounds during the battle. We've taken the cupola tour multiple times, and each guide has been very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. This is an excellent museum; I highly recommend it!
