This jail is huge with so much history! I visited on a week day morning and there were not too many other visitors. Going through the jail, visitors learn about various offenses committed by the prisoners, rehabilitation, life in the prisons, and history of the building. There are also restrooms and a small gift shop. Overall, I enjoyed my experience here!

So much good food but way too crowded. Was annoying trying to make my way through all these people or waiting in line. But it was nice to explore and see all the variety in food, desserts, snacks, stuff for cooking, and just to get out of the heat.

A trip inside Independence Hall (The Pennsylvania State House) is more than a photo opportunity. It's a way for everyone, no matter their age, to understand what the fight against tyranny was about. Our guide, a NPS ranger named Ed, provided a passionate narrative on the stakes and what those sitting in the rooms did to gain their independence.

It's definitely worth the time to get advance tickets and view the hub of American freedom.

I loved all the artwork. It really is a fabulous collection. I had no idea Winston Churchill was a decent artist. The temperature inside of the museum was sort of warm, especially on the second and third floors. I think their air conditioning system must have been struggling to keep so much space cool.

The story behind this collection is as incredible as the collection itself. Don't miss The Barnes when you visit Philly! Our docent, Tracie, made our visit all the more enjoyable. She ran a little over time and we could have stayed for hours longer to enjoy her insights into the collection, its creator and the artists. It's a stunning facility and I highly recommend booking a Highlights tour with a docent for first time visitors. It was very inexpensive and money well spent/

I’m glad I went inside and read all about the Liberty Bell! There are great interesting facts that I learned such as memorabilia, transportation of the bell to various US states as an attraction, and the symbolism the bell represents for various causes and ideas! I’m glad I did more than just snap a quick picture of the bell!

Ok...so these huge historic towns are so complicated to drive or walk, so if you can navigate...spend some time here. There is a lot to see. You HAVE to book online ahead of time. That's the only way to see it. The Hall is super cheap. Like $1 per person. The Park Ranger was so knowledgeable and delivered history without the usual boring tone. He held my attention well! Only took about 20 mins. Walking distance from the Liberty Bell...which is free!

Nice statute in a good location. Apparently it was in front of the museum before. This is a more appropriate spot for it. Great movie and an iconic location. Unfortunately the museum is closed Tues. and Wed....
You must run up the steps if you are physically able.

Great, informative museum about the American Revolution from the causes of the war to nation-building. I learned a lot. Only thing I willl say is that the ending regarding Yorktown and drafting of the U.S. constittion seemed too rush.

My wife and I are on a quest to visit all 30 MLB ball parks and this was #16. We came here in June and it was a nice time overall. The seats were good and provided a great view of the game (down the right field line). Drinks were tasty and our chicken cheesesteaks from Campos were very, very tasty. Parking was easy ($25) and it was super easy to hop onto the interstate from there. It was a nice ballpark and we're glad we came.

During your stay in Philly, make Sunday morning here a priority. Conveniently located with the city center is the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul. The architecture is amongst one of the best in the whole entire country.

Air conditioning! Cold water! Clean bathrooms!
We were in Philadelphia during a summer heat spell and this place was a godsend for the three things mentioned above.

Aside from that, there was a large gift shop, attendants to ask questions, exhibits about the city of Philadelphia, and much more. Also, it’s located in the old historic district across the street from the Liberty Bell which makes for a really convenient location
