The Metropolitan Museum of Art is absolutely incredible! The sheer size and variety of the collection blew me away—from ancient Egyptian artifacts to stunning European paintings and even modern art. I could’ve spent days exploring all the different galleries. The architecture of the building itself is beautiful, and the rooftop garden offers an amazing view of Central Park. It’s a must-visit spot in New York City for anyone who loves history, art, or culture.

We walked from Hudson Yard to The Chelsea market.. What a brillant idea turning a disused railway into a pathway.. Filled with plants, shrubs, trees and character. The walk was delightful with stunning views of Hudson along the way. The highline has benches to rest your legs. Soak up the views and architect..

We did the Rockefeller Center architecture tour. The key to this tour is to have a great guide, and Jonathan was that guide. It was a wonderful, informative, and educational tour. Jonathan really knew his way around and his sense of humor made the tour exceptional. We really enjoyed it and would take it again.

A visit to New York is incomplete without a visit to this unique statue gifted by French people to the people of America. So, it was included in our tour itinerary when we, a group of 25 Indians, visited it in the first week of September, 2024. To reach the Liberty island, our tour manager had booked the tickets that included the cost of ferry to the Liberty Island, where the Statue, a nice retaurant, beautifuul parks and a museum illustrating the history behind the construction of the Statue are situated. The boat cruise took about 30 minutes from Battery Park near the Bowling Green to reach the island, where we stayed there for about 2 hours, went around the whole island, visited the museum and also took Indian snacks with beverages. For going inside the statue, tickets are to be booked months in advance and further, there was not enough time at our disposal. We stayed there just for about 2 hours. Coming back to the history, it was donated by France to US in 1886 incelebration of the American independence in 1776. The statue was sculpted by the French architect Frederic Augustus Barthole and the French christened it as Liberty Enlightening The World, the pedestal was designed by Richard Morris Hunt. Work began in 1865 and completed by 1886. President Calvin coolidge declared it a National Monument in 1924. The statue is about 305 feet high including its pedestal. The crown over the lady Liberty denotes oceans and continents of the world. It is constructed by layers of copper sheets hammered into desired shape and stands on frames inside. whose face is known to resemble the mother of its architect. Inside it has 154 stairs. The lady Liberty is holding a tablet bearing the date of adoption, 4 July 1776 (in Romans) inscribed and in the other hand it holds a torch representing freedom from poverty. The feet show coming out of a chain representing freedom from slavery. These days, the torch in the hands is illuminated by electricity.
Through the ferry service, the tourists come ross Ellis island and skyscrapers in the New Jersey and New York city whole cruise service is fascinating presenting a scenic view. of the twin cities. A must visit place.

Times Square is a place you can’t miss! The night lights are amazing, and the atmosphere is electric. While it’s packed with tourists, it’s great for watching street performances and soaking up the vibe. For food, head to the side streets nearby for some fantastic Italian or Asian spots.

The Brooklyn Bridge is one of New York City's most iconic landmarks, featured in countless movies and TV shows. It's a stunning bridge to walk across, offering incredible views of the skyline and the East River. The walk can be a bit long, but if you're up for it, it's definitely fun and rewarding—just be prepared for some crowds and a bit of exercise. Whether you're a tourist or a local, crossing the bridge is a memorable experience with breathtaking photo opportunities.

I really enjoyed walking around Chelsea Market and seeing all of the unique shops and restaurants. There is such a great variety to choose from and the Halloween themed decorations were a nice touch.

Take the free tour and find out so much about this library. It is second to the Library of Congress for the size of its holdings. Beautiful building with quite a history. The Rose Reading Room is beautiful and olde style. The Library Treasures Exhibit is amazing. The Library is next to Bryant Park which is also a nice visit.

The Rockefeller Center is a must-visit spot in the heart of NYC, offering shopping, dining, and unique attractions. The famous ice skating rink is a highlight, especially in winter. The center is also home to a variety of stores, restaurants, and events, including the iconic Christmas tree. With its central location and vibrant atmosphere, it’s a great place to explore year-round.
