- Claire S36 contributionsAn art form so magnificent that it stirs your sole. This is my third season of enjoying the opera. I am so fortunate to live in Philadelphia, just 2 and half hours from the city. The opera is not out of reach financial. Cost of good seats anywhere from $40 to $400. Yes I pick up the family circle seats. Enjoy two days in the city. Despite the bleacher-style seating, we were extremely comfortable and had a great view of the stage and orchestra pit.
