The harbor has always been very busy as so many boats come and go, shipping, cruise ships, ferries. From the harbor you can get a very good view of the skyscrapers of Manhattan and the new skyline in Brooklyn. And there are a lot of islands, some with important tourist sites. A harbor cruise is recommended.

Visiting Central Park and decided to walk around the reservoir. Cannot believe this is all man made. Excellent walking path with spectacular water views. Very happy we did this. Highly recommended!

I had been wanting to attend this Halloween event for years. There were all sorts of pumpkins carved at a pumpkin patch event at ge Harlem Meer and then at dusk, they floated the pumpkins around the Meer by boat.

With the sun setting in the background, this floating parade to the background of Halloween music was quite a site.
The guys made several rounds around the meet and the effects were amazing.

Pleasant area of Central Park located along the east side of the park. Here you will find the Alice in Wonderland Statue and the Hans Cristian Anderson Statue. Since 1957, a storytelling program for children takes place at the Hans Christian Andersen statue on Saturday mornings during the summer from June 1 to September 21 at 11am. During the summer months, you can also rent model boats to put out onto the water.

Located near Belvedere Castle and the Great Lawn in Central Park. This is a scenic spot and is a place you can see turtles and other wildlife.

I would give this a million stars if I could! It was so easy! On a gorgeous Fall evening, I took the East River Ferry from Pier 11 Wall St. to Dumbo and back again later. About a 5 minute ride, cheap and easy. The friendliest staff person (wish I got his name) helped us find the right slip on Pier 11. Download the NYC Ferry app for the most up to date info & to buy tickets.

Don't miss the West Harlem Piers Park at the end of 125th Street near the new extension of the Columbia Campus. It has the most breathtaking views of the Hudson River and the Palisades, the coolest breezes on a hot day and a nice place to sit down.

There is some interesting art work in the park that you should see and it is a nice place to take your lunch and eat it by the river. It is just a nice place to relax and enjoy the views.

Great place for natural outdoor fun. We like to pack some snacks or a picnic and spend the day fishing and swimming. There is a rope swing not far down the creek. Many birds including various water fowl can be seen. We have caught small mouth bass, rock bass, perch, and carp. Plenty of parking and if you kayak there is easy water access close to parking.
