Didn't go to the museum but went to the memorial so emotional. A lot of people around but so quiet and eary. What a beautiful tribute to those who sadly died that day. Brought back that day watching the tragedy unfold from the UK.

Take the free tour and find out so much about this library. It is second to the Library of Congress for the size of its holdings. Beautiful building with quite a history. The Rose Reading Room is beautiful and olde style. The Library Treasures Exhibit is amazing. The Library is next to Bryant Park which is also a nice visit.

Great interactive museum! Don’t need to go as a couple, anybody open-minded and artistic should go. Fun night in Miami!

My sister and I were in NYC for a long weekend in mid November and our visit here was definitely one of the highlights! We weren’t sure what to expect, but the “After the Famine” tour was informative and compelling- researching an actual family who lived in the apartment we toured made it all very “real”- both sad and hopeful.

The Irish tour is just one choice available, and lasted about an hour. My sister commented that she’d love to come back to NY for a week and do a tour a day 😃

Definitely arrive early to watch the film which details how the museum came to be- this will eliminate a lot of questions later. Plus this will allow touring the AMAZING and beautifully curated gift and book shop!

So very impressive, the book collection is amazing, so much to see. I enjoyed it all and was able to take my time. The cafe has excellent service and fresh food choices.

This place was amazing. Very moving and really well done. Very respectful. Can't believe I got to hold things that were kept from 9/11. Highly recommend

We had a couple of hours to spare on our last day in NYC and one attraction left on our Explorer Pass to headed off to Madame Tussauds. Itreally is prettyv cheesy, but there has been some effort put into grouping the celebrities and present them thematically. There is also a 10 minute Marvel Universe 4D movie which is entertaining enough.

Our tour guide was Susan Slater. She was amazing! She knew the history and so many details about the renovation, the features, the art, and the function of the synagogue. Sue spoke clearly and answered all our our questions so well. When she took us to view the sanctuary, she dramatically opened the door so that we could see the splendor of it all, as an awesome surprise. I highly recommend her as a guide.

We are all part of a large surveillance operation. You hear this phrase and begin an exhibition of information and interactions about spying.

Have visited several times with different people as I feel it’s a must see in New York. As a family who had previous generations pass through the island it was good to see what they went through

Great rotating exhibits and a new permanent display on the Presidents. There is a lot to see but this museum is next door to the Museum of Natural History and Central Park so it is often overlooked. Great for research and a good store.

This was my first time here. I would walk by occasionally and recently decided to go.
Focused primarily on art/artist from smaller Asian countries like Tibet and the Himalayas it is 6 floors covering periods from BCE to 2023.
Very interactive it is a must visit for anyone interested in art from those regions.
The last open day to the public is October 2024, so hurry, You need about 2 hours to really see everything and they are open til 10pm every friday

Fun place to spend an hour. It was the perfect place for to visit with my teenage sun who loves puzzles and illusions. Small space but it wasn't crowded, the staff was very friendly and we really enjoyed our time there.

the building (completed in 1907) is absolutely gorgeous! I wish I would have read about it prior to visiting. the exhibits were beautifully displayed with just enough information so as to not be overwhelming. we didn't read everything and I think we might have even missed so things but we enjoyed our time here. Since it is free it's certainly worth a pop in if you're in the area.
