- Lauren R2 contributionsGreat day trip to two Long Island vineyards. Our tour guide and driver were very nice. They provided water bottles to us. We visited RGNY which i loved. Wish we had more time there. The second one was McCall Wines where we had lunch and a wine tasting. The lunch was delicious: a turkey sandwich with orange marmalade and a caprese sandwich. We were also given kettle chips from North Folk chips. At the end, the tour stops for about 20 minutes at a farmers market where you can buy local produce.
The only thing i would say is, i wish we had more time at each vineyard. After the tastings, we only had about 30 minutes on our own. There were several language groups on the bus so it was a bit annoying trying to listen to the English while the other guide was also speaking. The guide was very pleasant but not very informative- she did have to translate into German as well. The winery wasn’t ready for us and kept us waiting and the gentleman was not very friendly. The outlet shopping was of no interest to us - we would have rather spent more time in the Hamptons. The vineyards were nice but maybe more of a guided tour through one with a chance to ask questions would be nice. - MelindaNew York City, NY3 contributionsThis was my second wine tour with Sam. I've done both the Long Island and Hudson Yards tours with him now and they were both amazing experiences. The wineries we visited were beautiful (arguably the Hudson Valley views are better) and had a wide variety of wines for tasting.
We were a mixed group of 14, friends/family, and everyone enjoyed their day! Sam is such a wonderful host, and elevates the wine tour experience with the wine education, jokes, and personal stories. He checks in on each individual to make sure your experience is stellar.
You are also well-fed during lunch!! We had more than enough to go around, but if you're peckish by the end of the tour, the farm market stop is perfect for the fresh apple cider donuts, which is a MUST try.

The Sprinter was very spacious. We had plenty of wine to chose from on the way to the winery and back.
When we arrived at the winery we were able to enjoy ourselves and taste the wines, without the worry of who would be the designated driver.
Our driver Jimmy was Kind and Super informative the entire ride.
He made the ride even more comfortable by selecting great movies and making sure everyone was Happy!

I was informed that instead of the yacht we would have a wine tasting at a restaurant and then take the Vintage car tour. We agreed to the change and were pleasantly surprised at the outcome. Our tasting advisor/driver Aaron (hopefully correct spelling) was a wealth of knowledge and took good care of us. The guides were experienced and really helped me out (a first time kayacker!) they were always there to ensure we were safe and having a good time. They managed a large group of people (50+) with varying levels of ability throughout the day and I was really impressed. Got this as a gift for my Dad and we really bonded. I recommend this to anyone in NYC looking for a nature and wine-filled adventure. I'll be kayaking again after learning from them and trying out the other trips with Sourced Adventures as well.
