Don’t expect to sip a martini while sitting at a polished mahogany bar but do expect to see wood discretely or very obviously displayed by patrons and dancers. Drinks are very reasonable, especially for NYC. $10 cover night I went. Cash only, ATM by entrance. I apparently went a bit too early on a Thursday night, shortly after it opened at 10 PM. Just a few guys milling about. The first dancer started around 11 and it was getting busier. By midnight a couple more dancers started, in various states of undress… and less as the night went on. The dancers were, ahem, very friendly. The downstairs wasn’t open (told open only on Friday and Saturday nights) so it got quite crowded after midnight with a very mixed crowd of barely legal to older guys and everything in between. Frat boys, daddies, muscle boys, bears, you name it. Something for just about everyone. Seriously, it seems like anything goes but I’ll omit details. If you want a night of debauchery in an old school dive bar, this checks all the boxes. Negative comments are: I guess they want the entire bar to be considered a dark room but you can barely see the cash you’re giving the bartender it’s so dark; floor in back room is bumpy so be careful; only open Wednesday through Sunday. I had been told that Tuesday nights were wild and wanted to go back but they haven’t been open on Monday or Tuesday since the pandemic. Recommended for a night to meet Mr Right Now Right Here.
