- Austin G4 contributionsLa Jolla Cove is absolutely gorgeous! The crystal-clear water, rugged cliffs, and playful sea lions make it feel like a little slice of paradise. I loved walking along the shoreline and watching the waves crash against the rocks. Snorkeling was amazing too—so many colorful fish and vibrant marine life. It’s a perfect spot to relax, explore, and soak in some incredible views. Whether you’re into wildlife, photography, or just chilling by the ocean, La Jolla Cove has it all!Written 6 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Clarence And GSan Diego, CA464 contributionsWe spent the day in LA JOLLA, beginning at Harry's Coffee Shop, then we went to the Children's Pool and the Birch Aquarium.
We then spent the day at the LA JOLLA SHORES PARK BEACH!!!
I spent the time back on the Cement Bench, guarding our supplies, AND VALUABLES!!!
As I understood it, my Niece spent the majority of the time in the water, but also collecting sea shells.
It was a great outing for the FOUR OF US!!!Written 29 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Only saw a couple of nude women, but there is an abundance of nude males walking around that had obviously taken Viagra before their visit. Kind of creepy. The hike down the cliff by the gilder port is a little difficult, and the hike back up is even more tricky, especially if it's hot and the sun is beating down on you. Be sure to take plenty of water. If you take your time, it's doable. Just know that there are other ways to and from the beach. If you're not a good climber or out of shape, use the easier ways, but don't miss this beach when in San Diego.Written 23 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - OulissePotsdam, Germany922 contributionsEarly one wonderful sunny morning, sitting on a bench, Oulisse happened to meet the cheerful Beth for a little chat, above the stunning beach. The residents spent their morning jog, sometimes strenuously, sometimes relaxed, parallel to the high waves of the incoming tide, to say nothing of the dog. The rays of the morning sun, still warm in November, broke on the crests of the waves. It is not easy to leave the place on this day.Written 13 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- hotweatherfan1Indianapolis, IN511 contributionsWe stopped here after catching a glimpse of it from the highway. We were very happy that we did. The walking trail provided a great way of seeing the area. It wasn't super crowded. There were plenty of restrooms and trash cans along the way as well. The only downside were the homeless that were there.Written 18 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Beth KShawnee, KS1,665 contributionsI love a great beach and this one was good. The beach itself is nice, clean, and contained a few seashells. I enjoyed walking under the pier at low tide on the rocks.
What I didn't like was all of the druggies surrrounding the area. The pot smell was at times unbearable and I thought smoking marijuana was illegal in public places. That was a turn-off for me. I saw several people that were so high they were stumbling around.Written 1 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. While watching the surfers, we were able to view 4-5 dolphins playing around amongst the surfers.Written 6 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - lucycanSan Diego, CA3,657 contributionsThis beach is a few miles long with almost all camping sites on it. There are a few hundred sites. There is now a "camp store" with food and booze that locals are flocking to. Its OK.Written 13 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
