- Jesi B1 contributionWe had an amazing anniversary - all thanks to Diego and Tadeo. Getting to the border via trolley was easy and fast. The communications about where and when to meet was very clear. Diego met us and whisked us through the immigration line into Mexico. We met up with Tadeo, who got us to Revolucion quickly. We had a great time learning about the history and culture of Mexico. We loved all the unique places Tadeo took us like the brewery in the parking garage and the taco shop. The beer and tacos were excellent. Tadeo made sure we were comfortable and set a nice pace. The day far exceed our expectations. Tadeo made sure we got to the Sentri line at the border. (Pro tip: have global entry/Sentri before going to Mexico - it will save you hours of waiting in line). We highly recommend this tour. The staff are wonderful. - Ali R9 contributionsFirst of all, Mario was absolutely incredible. He is the owner-operator and throughout the entire day, he made sure we had what we needed, that we were taken care of, shared information and facts about the places we were visiting or passing by, and I felt genuinely cared for.
If you ever have the opportunity to go on a tour with Mario, take it. You will be blown away by the service, care, communication, and how knowledgeable, personable, and fun he is!
This tour was a wonderful experience, 10/10. I went with a group of five friends. We went from Chula Vista down to Playas de Tijuana followed by spending time in Rosarito, had the most delicious lobster and margarita at Puerto Nuevo, added on an ATV excursion in Los Arenales, and saw the most beautiful sunset at Cuatro Cuatros where we indulged in more food and wine. On the way back, Mario was kind enough to stop by Tijuana again so we could get more tacos!
Overall, I could not be happier about this experience led by Mario and Baja California Wine Tours. It was so memorable and fun! Visiting all sorts of bars and breweries that you just would not find on your own. - Matti B5 contributionsThis was just the tour we were looking for. Marisol was an amazing friendly local guide to the breweries, shops, and food spots. The micro craft brew scene in Tijuana is so much like home in New England, the familiar atmosphere is uncanny. The familiarity made it comfortable but there was a vibe that made it feel authentically local.
It happened to be election day, so a few places were closed but Marisol had a backup list a mile long that seamlessly had us around the corner to the next spot without delay. Transportation was provided to and from the southern side of San Ysidro to Av. Revolución where the walking tour took place. Diego met us at the San Ysidro station and escorted us to meet Marisol on the south side answering any questions we had along the way.
