It is interesting but it is also really well done as an experience in a different way with new ways to interact and present the story. You wont regret doing this I assure you

In this world of reaction and slogans it was very grounding spending time understanding the legacy of this great American. It’s a beautiful building in a wonderful setting and the museum is magnificent and thoughtful. I really enjoyed the film on the Cuban Missile Crisis as well as the footage of his debate with Nixon. This is an absolute must.

Nicely done museum that has a donation only entrance fee. The short movies were quite interesting also. It's an easy walk from the hop on and off stop

Old State House seems to be a metro station now. Great looking building, though somewhat marred by the constant roar of traffic on the outside. The area need pedestrianizing. Interesting building though.

To be honest this appears to be more of a replica rather than a genuine historical artifact. Recreated to capture the tourist dollar. The story is interesting though.

One of the oldest colonial buildings in town. Lots of history here. Located in the middle of the skyscrapers downtown. Very much on the Freedom Trail, so there were lots of tour groups and tourists all around. A pleasant square out front.

Take a trip back in time to see 3-story steam engines all preserved perfectly inside a Richardson-style building. I'd highly recommend this museum to anybody interested in Boston history, mechanical engineering or real-life steampunk.

There's parking right on site, and you can spend 1-2 hours enjoying this unique museum.

Thanks to Eleanor our tour guide!

This is a must-see for history buffs, offering a fascinating glimpse into the lives of the Nichols family, especially Rose Nichols (a nice of Augustus St Gaudens)

This museum is located across the street from the Bunker Hill Monument. It is small, but is free and has exhibits on two floors. The first floor is devoted to the history of Charlestown and the Monument itself. The second is about the battle. It includes context and an old but informative light up diorama showing troop movements. This is helpful because the battlefield has been developed and the topography has changed since 1775, so it would otherwise have been hard to understand what had happened and where. There are some cool artifacts here like a drum from the battlefield.

We visited on a cold March afternoon and were greeted by Charles Fazio, who was a host and curator who showed us many historic items. My husband’s ancestors were members and this felt very personal. We came from Charleston South Carolina for this very special trip. So glad we got to go!

I visited this small museum after going to the JFK Library which is across the street. A nice collection of exhibits telling about the founding of the Commonwealth, it's more geared towards a younger audience.

The highlight of the museum is the room where they have the bronze plate that Paul Revere made of the Boston Massacre, Charter of Massachusetts, Charter of the Bay Colony, Copy of the Declaration of Independence made on the 50th anniversary, Bill of Rights and the Massachusetts Constitution.

It is worth a visit if in the area, admission is free.

The space is smaller than I expected and while the current show was interesting I would have loved to see more old maps. The maps on display were around a theme, interesting for sure and well thought out. I was hoping for more but am still glad we stopped by

A beautiful old building with hidden treasures. Documents dating back hundreds of years and library of many old original books from Pre colonial period. Original paintings too. It’s free and worth the time.

We enjoyed this tour. Our tour guide, Versatile, kept our attention and was very well informed about Harriet and her writing. This tour isn't very long, maybe 45 minutes and is less about the house and more about circumstances surrounding slavery.
