He gave us a nice history lesson on the development of the California wine country and prepped us for our winery visits. First winery, Jacuzzi, was disappointing. The event guide gave us only 10 minutes and did not seem very familiar with her wines. The next winery tour was very enjoyable at Artesa. The guide was energetic, informative and entertaining. We joined their wine club and even ordered several bottles to be shipped home. Best Chardonnay I have ever had! This was a delightful experience. We lunched at Gott burgers in Oxbow for great burgers. Traffic was too thick to go to Sonoma plaza so driver opted for Plan B at Oxbow which was a great choice. Our last winery visit included a small organic vineyard, Madonna Estates, which was also very nice. We had some marvelous Pinot Rosetta and a nice Pinot Noir. - Leandro M6 contributionsGlenda is simply the best! She brang a lot of hapiness, history and fun to the trip. If you think it is a long journey, don’t be scared, it is worth it. Yosemite is awesome and the views are breath-taking.

The driver provided great commentary on the Muir Woods and again before each of the wineries we visited. Stopped by the Golden Gate Bridge on the way back for pictures. Unfortunately, we had to wait almost an hour fir the ferry to get us from Alcatraz back to Pier 33. He was very informative and was personable, which made for a great trip. The sites, the food and of course the wineries were top notch! Alcatraz was a little chaotic and traffic was bad due to fleet week so we missed our 2.45 boat and had to wait 1hr but once those was well worth the wait.
