This is what i call a walk in the park. Well managed, accessible, and extremely beautiful for a botanical enthusiast like me. It's great to see plants across continents. Cool place to spend time observing the life out here.

This greenhouse has many unusual and beautiful flowers and is in some ways more exciting to visit than the Botanical Garden nearby. It takes less than 30 minutes to visit all the parts, one can walk from either the Botanical Garden or Japanese Tea Garden to the greenhouse quite easily.

This is one of the most cheerful and joyful places that must be on the list. It is a picturesque location full of tourists and visitors watching plenty of seals and sea lions lying directly ahead of your eyes.

Gorgeous views of the ocean and the city. Paved trails. Ample, free parking. VERY dog friendly. The hike down to and back from the sand is strenuous, even for those in the best physical condition. My family wore hiking shoes and was glad we did. Worth the hike and a great family outing with our pooch!

Great experience to get away from the city within the city at this superfluous urban park. The moat around Strawberry Hill is riveting with several species to gaze upon as you meander the pleasant trails. Several benches to rest as well as lawn areas to plant yourself to bask in the sun to picnic and ponder the SF life. Different layers of clothes is a must as the micro climate is real and shifts throughout the walk in this 6-mile park.

Don Edwards is my weekly go to hiking place as it is close to my house and very beautiful place. There are a lot of wildlife and I specially like the sunset walk, it is always so beautiful. You can also walk across the bridge to go to Coyote Hill for a longer hike with beautiful bay views. Highly recommend this place for everyone.

We only stopped here for a moment to look at the bison. There were 3 in the field when we visited and you can walk right up to the fence. It is situated on an accessible and safe road so it is easy to get to. It was cool to see some bison and the area looks fairly well maintained, however you probably wouldn't want to spend more than 10 minutes here as it's just the bison roaming around and not much else.

Listening to the Sounds of Nature we were able to be in the 'Silence' that we were looking for, in the Presence that we wanted to be in. Birds welcoming us to their habitat in order to enable us to merge with the essence of Nature that we undoubtedly belong with.
The swift movement of squirrels & rabbits we couldn't quite see as we were ourselves to fast in our thoughts, but the still and scintilatting waves of the bay somehow enabled us to 'slow down' from all the stresses that the city lifestyle impinge on us with the swift movement of life over the pretty rolling hills of San Francisco, CA.
We shall certainly return to this 'Lil' paradiso'
Highly Recommend this awesome Trail for even a short stroll to kick back, relax & unwind.

Heron's head park looks a bit apocalyptic from the street. But it's actually a pretty interesting little Park. There's an Ecology Center next to the parking lot, where you must stop for an explanation. Take a walk to the end of The Jetty and you'll get a great view of the South San Francisco Bay. The park looks a bit unkept, the signs are faded out. But all in all this is a nice, but a bit rough around the edges, Urban Waterfront Park. There's even a small dirt Top Dog Park.

Visited this site today, walked around, took a few pictures. Located in the middle of San Francisco, in a residential district, this is really a series of rocks with no footpaths. Probably a good place to climb but not good for much else until you get to the top by climbing and then you have a nice view towards the ocean.
