If you're in the area (taking public transportation to the Presidio or doing the hop-on hop-off bus), then it's worth the 10 minute walk to see the Yoda fountain. The Lucas Films campus is very quiet and beautifully landscaped, so it's a nice walk. I used the app Citymapper to find it, and then also to find my way to the Presidio Visitor Center.

Came across this beautiful 1875 fountain whilst exploring SF.

The fountain became the meeting place for survivors of the 1906 earthquake as it was one of the only structures still standing in that area.

There is much more to this ornate fountain which is worth reading up on.

I walk by this fountain every week and often stop to look at all the images around it. It's surrounded by a big hotel and the Apple Store and since Apple built an outdoor seating area behind the fountain, it's a very inviting area, although often in shadows and this a bit cold. Come and look.

My wife and I stopped at this on the way to the ferry building and enjoyed it but can also see why a lot of the locals do not. For a beautiful city this is not real attractive. It is kind of cool to see when it is operational but it is also kind of an eyesore. Overall, this space could have been used for something that adds to San Francisco instead of something that detracts.

This one is a big miss in terms of street design. Just an ugly fountain in an unpleasant square. It improves when the farmer's market is here, but otherwise cold and uninviting and full of junkies. I worked in this area for 25 years and it has never improved, sadly.
