He has so much to give to anyone who spends time with him. The mural tour was very emotional. The food was given historical context. We absolutely loved this tour and would definitely recommend it. The food he had us sample was excellent and a wide variety... from Peking Duck to fortune cookies. While the tour is 3 hours, it flew by and there were plenty of places to stop and rest and to use the facilities if need be. Seemed lol the ship was only 40% full on a Sunday night in early September. First deck wasn’t even used.
Music was nice and soft first half. After dinner turned into a dance party.
Lots of restrooms, gorgeous views, great food.
The music was a bit loud the second half. If you wanted to dance that was great. - Rock HKingston, Canada108 contributionsThis wine tasting tour was quite the experience. We were picked up at our hotel by David and he was even a touch early. On the way out to the wine region he did make a couple of stops to allow us to take pictures of scenic areas in San Francisco. Our first winery was the Hook & Ladder and it was ‘average’. Then we stopped at the Kendall Jackson estate and it was phenomenal. The wines were exceptional and the 5 course meal we were served was truly gastronomical. My wife and I have not stopped talking about this excursion. I only got slices of a carrot, one piece of broccoli and a roasted pepper I had no idea what to do with but overall, definitely worth the experience! The selected restaurants had wonderful food and wine.
We were introduced to the best clam chowder we’ve ever had.
We began with a Chandon bubbly and a cheese plate, moved to the restaurant with chowder accompanied by a lovely rose, and to Poggio for delicious gnudi with a great Scarpatta Barbera and ended with a bread pudding like no other with white port on an outdoor deck. It was seamlessly organized and just the right balance of information with all the delectable foods. We work right across the street from the Ferry Building and yet many people mentioned that they hadn’t tried some the spots that we visited. It was a casual, low-key way to connect with my colleagues and wonderful exposure to the gems hidden within the Building. I loved the activity, it was interesting, the food was excellent, the wine and drinks of very good quality, good music, there was a dance floor and the view of the fireworks in the San Francisco Bay at midnight was spectacular. I also got great pictures of the city of San Francisco illuminated at night. Our amazing guide, Jacob, took us around Chinatown where we learned all about the neighborhood’s history in a fun and engaging way.
