- Marjorie W1 contributionIt's an amazing experience to do yoga in the sand, in the waves, watching the birds, and connecting to othersWritten 30 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Wendy LIrvine, CA124 contributionsMy daughter and I participated in Hiking Yoga in August. I'm really glad I did it, but the hills are really tough. I wish we spent a bit more time doing yoga. This is not for wimps! The views of the city are terrific.Written 18 November 2012This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mia Manns1 contributionThis is my favorite yoga studio. I love the Mission location, and it has a friendly, community feel. The teachers are nice, helpful and highly knowledgeable. Classes are fun, often with a little humor, and it gets real hot. I'm lucky to be able to go often.Written 2 April 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Alyssa COrange County, CA87 contributionsI've traveled to the city 2x in the last month and both times ended up at Satori. They have great online deals for drop in rates, mats you can rent, and are very friendly. The class I took this week was a great workout and I'm pleased to have found this studio. Staying in the financial district it is an easy walk from many hotels. I'll definitely be back on future trips.Written 23 June 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- u07United States181 contributionsThis is a review for the location on Union St since I cannot add a new location on TripAdvisor.
You may read different reviews on other websites but from my experience (I can’t say for all classes), this is a perfect place to stop by and let me explain:
- Their drop-in price is cheap for SF, even with mat and towel.
- Super convenient location in a nice neighbourhood of SF. There are nice cafes and restaurants nearby.
- Their schedule is good.
- The studio is clean and beautiful.
This is the right place for you if you:
- Already know your basics well: breaths, alignment and poses. Most people normally don’t pay much attention to the basics: Chaturanga Dandasana, Adho Mukha Shvanasana (Down Dog), etc. and they don’t do them correctly even though it looks like they can do fancy poses.
- Want to have a “workout-style” yoga.
- Don’t expect the instructor to correct you.
- Like (or don’t mind) hot yoga with the instructor on a mic and modern music or just want to burn calories
- Don’t mind crowded class.
This is not the right place for you if you:
- Expect the instructor to correct you.
- Expect a different style with more Om and breathing techniques.
- Don’t do your alignment and poses correctly.
- Don’t like crowded studios, hot yoga, modern music, etc.
I personally like taking regular classes where the instructors spend time correcting your alignment and breaths to make sure you do your poses correctly. That is very different from this studio. However, I’ve heard people complain about both styles. So, make sure this is right for you and don’t listen to people complaining about it. The funny thing is, no matter what type they complain about, they always start with “I’m a yoga instructor myself”.Written 17 November 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I verbally cancelled, and it slipped through the cracks, and I'm not super vigilant about my credit card bill. Turns out, I was charged $120 a month for a year after I had deleted the app and moved out of the city. When I explained the situation by email and on the phone, I was ignored for four days, and finally (after my fourth email) the manager simply said there was no record of my cancellation and stood behind their policy of, you know, screwing people with auto-renewal. They were like, we'll give you two months credit (knowing I had left the city). Between that and the late policy, this place is straight-up namastingy. Do your yoga somewhere that puts customers first and isn't just trying to squeeze every dollar (or in my case, $1,440) out of them.Written 6 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
