I have tried the float tank here twice and have found the experience to be very relaxing. The staff is very helpful for first-timers. The amenities post-float are very nice and the space is welcoming and relaxing.

I like this ocation of the YMCA It is located by the waterfront in the Embarcadero Area of San Francisco. It has a good gym.

It has been there since 1908.

The owner, Jada, has put together an awesome team of fitness professionals at elevate Group fitness, who really know how to make working out fun and challenging, without pushing you past your limits! There are people of all ages, body types and fitness, but we all intersect at having fun while working out! If you are ready to get your sweat on, then this is your place!

This facility at Fitness Break is outstanding! A great layout for a gym and east to rotate machines etc. Never too crowded and excellent customer service.

Some of the friendliest staff I have encountered in my long career of personal training and consulting. Great facility and overall layout of the gym is perfect.

Decent Gym. I had a free gym pass from the hotel. There is a 3 lane pool, about 20 or so aerobic machines ( treadmills, bicycles, Elliptical Trainers etc), area with punch bags, weights and other fitness machines, free small and big towels/ dressing gowns, lockers are available (ask the front desk for a special card), steam room and about 8 shower units. It is all clean and well cared for but super new. I believe there is a studio room on the floor above for yoga etc.

What can I say about this place? This is taught by a Black Black, Professor Colhado, who is Brazilian, whose linage goes back to Helio Gracie and has been in Competitive Jiu-Jitsu competitions, and also in the MMA arena!

Professor Colhado teaches both practical Jiu Jitsu that can be and have used he Jiu Jitsu in the streets of Brazil to save his life. He also teaches and referees Jiu Jitsu competitions if your Jiu Jitsu game is more competition orientated.

The people here at this gym is amazing! They will methodically teach you step by step, to the best of their knowledge, on how to do their best technique. The people don't mind sharing their secrets! A rarity when training in the Art of Jiu Jitsu.

Best of all this gym is located in the Sunset where you can actually find parking in San Francisco. Then after the gym you can walk down on Taraval St where some publications have named it dumpling row!

Would come again and again for the people and food.
