The club has hosted some big names over the past few decades (Thelonious Monk, Allen Ginsberg), and we could feel the club's history in the small, intimate space. Seating is a bit cramped, but the acrobats make the most of the tight spacing. The show was wondrous and enthralling; we were rived for the entire 90 minutes. We were celebrating my husband's birthday and they gave him a shoutout during the show, which he loved. They have a small menu with drinks and snacks, but this isn't the type of place you visit for a full meal. - SARAH H1 contributionMy husband and I took our two kids under 12 we had a great time! They got to go up on stage and interact with the show. He is a funny nice guy and I have no idea how he was able to do these crazy guessing tricks and was always right! It was a small intimate theater and everyone was respectful and seemed to also have a wonderful time. We had mediterranean food in the little restaurant before the show and he was going table to table doing card tricks. Excellent stand up by four hilarious comedians and excellent host, in a cozy, relaxed personable theatre. No drink minimum. I know it as a simple gay bar with a swimming pool and cheap drinks. Well those days are gone. - Jeff W4 contributionsSo if you're looking for a campy tiki experience, this is kinda the spot to go to. It's in the basement of the Fairmont hotel. Be forewarned that if you make a reservation, it's 50$ per person. There is also a 15$ per person fee because of the live music.
They had asked if we wanted to be closer or further from the music. It's the same overpowering volume no matter where you sit.
The food was alright. The spring roll appetizer is obviously frozen from a box. Hard pass on those. Also 4 for 26$ is insanely over priced.
The wok mains are very large and you could split one between two people. They were much better than I expected after the pre frozen appetizer.
Now the drinks! Strong, but not overpowering. The prices were fair for a standard tiki drink. Between 22-26$ per drink.
Service was pretty good, a little slow at times, but it was a busy night so it's to be expected.

- Tim K23 contributionsWow! The tiki bar seems often to be going the way of the dodo, but Smuggler's Cove keeps the tradition alive and well! The drink menu is extensive, bordering on overwhelming. And everything is good! The bartender was remarkably friendly-- it never felt like we were being burdensome for ordering these relatively complicated tiki cocktails. My favorite drink of the night was the Jungle Bird, and my wife got hooked on their banana daiquiri. The elevator ride delivers you to the 21 st floor where you enter a warm and cozy interior with great views. Made 4 pm reservations for birthday celebration cocktails before dinner at a nearby restaurant. Irish coffee was excellently. Maybe the best we have ever had.
Great eggs Benedict as well as omelettes.

It also gave us time to get some food and drinks prior to the show. The host of the show was really funny.
