Great place for a walk. The beach seems to go on forever. Lots of good options nearby for food and drinks as well, but it can be very busy.

This beach was best we found for small waves for children and older folks. You need to go to the area in front of Sea House restaurant for the calmest waves. There is beach access from the street then walk right toward the Sea House restaurant.

Enjoyed this hike. It was our first day on Maui and hadn’t fully recovered from our 6 hour time difference. The path was way to follow and the scenery was beautiful.

The Banyan Tree Park is home to the largest Banyan Tree in the United States. It provides shade and is a popular meeting place. The regular craft fair and art shows have been suspended. This tree is healthy and well maintained. At sunset the birds fly into the tree to sleep. There is a unique view of the tree from the 2nd floor of the Historic Lahaina courthouse or from Cool Cat Cafe.

We loved this! It was so hands on for our kids. This wasn’t your typical petting zoo where you chase animals in a pen. You are given the opportunity to pet every single animal on your time. The owner was so welcoming and laid back we enjoyed every minute and our kids cried when we left. They wanted to stay. 10/10. This is a full farm experience with a beautiful view and such a welcoming owner.

During our trip to Maui, my spouse and father-in-law decided to try something new and signed up for the glass blowing lesson. My spouse was all in from the start, while me and my father-in-law were more “curious but cautious.” Turns out, we all ended up loving it! I made a vase and my spouse and father-in-law crafted tumblers.

Luis, our instructor, was an absolute gem—funny, patient, and incredibly talented. We laughed, and were genuinely blown away by our creations. This little adventure wasn’t just a highlight of our trip to Hawaii; it’s now in our “best-ever” memory bank!

If you’re in Maui and even slightly tempted, do it! You’ll leave with stories, laughs, and a piece of paradise to take home.

Didn't come with high expectations. Why would you want to be in a shopping mall next to the beach, right? However, I found it a surprisingly nice experience. Can't put my finger on it though.

When in Maui check out all of the off the beaten path beaches and make not to miss out on Slaughterhouse Beach because it’s nothing short of breathtaking! Our hotel pool and beach at the Westin in Ka’anapali were crowded so we set out to more isolated beaches. The serene quietness, no crowds (maybe 10 of us on the beach sparked out), soft sand, hell of a panoramic view was priceless!

We arrived by 8:30 AM and got the last parking spot. Note that this beach is only accessible by parking in a few spots off the road and then descending down about 40 steps so plan to get there early.

The current was bipolar the day we went with times of calmness and all of a sudden would change to a rough current with violent waves so be careful when swimming. This beach is great for snorkeling and seeing turtles and has a cool cave you can explore when it’s low tide.

Definitely a spot to check out when in Maui!

We loved the Acid War Zone Trail. You park in the little parking lot, before the larger blowhole parking lot if you want to do the trail. We initially passed it up as nobody was parked there at first but turned around in the larger lot to start the trail. Initially it was easy to follow at the beginning but became more difficult once you got into the lava rocks. Look for footprints and head toward the lighthouse/beacon. Then it was quite a climb down the lava rocks toward the shore. Don't stop at the first blowhole you see. This is not the Nakalele Blowhole, but was still fairly impressive. The final leg was to the left of a large, lava boulder, where you cannot see the Nakalele Blowhole until you go around the boulder. We couldn't take our eyes off of this natural wonder!

We were staying at Kahana Beach Resort and discovered this public park/beach in past visit. Has great parking, lawn above beach area, restrooms/changing area with shower area by beach to clean sand off your feet. Shaded gazebo in park. Just a great access spot on a world famous beach!

Our guide Marina was very knowledgeable and friendly! We were the only group on our tour and she was very patient answering all our questions and spent a lot of extra time with us as we explored the property.

This was the first farm tour that we did in Hawaii and we didn't appreciate just how educational the tour was until we started doing other activities and realized we knew more about the plants we were seeing on these other activities than the posted signs or other guides were explaining.

It's unfortunate that most of the crops on this farm burned down last year, but that didn't stop us from being able to see a lot of interesting plants and the degree of education we received on this tour. The property is also beautiful and we got to learn a bit about the local neighborhood.

Beautiful vistas. Well marked and manageable trail. Just the right level of effort…challenging enough but not too challenging. We went left at the fork, which I believe was the reverse trek of the trail. Not too crowded. Just right.
