We went on a Monday and avoided the weekend crowd, but still, there were plenty of people on this misty day. Reasonably good parking and all self-guided strolls through the fields of tulips and displays. More varieties than can be imagined. We understand that the displays and layout change annually -- true?

We were in Bellingham for a wedding and this was on the ’to do’ list for the wedding guests. My husband and I drove the short distance and found this well developed tulip farm.

It looks like there may have been some smaller versions to visit as well. Here they had good, organized parking. Once you get on the grounds, you just wander from tulip variety to another. It is stunning. (May, 2023)

My wife and I had April 1 off so decided to drive up to the Skagit Valley for the first day of the Tulip festival. We knew that it was early in the season and that we wouldn't be seeing Instagram quality displays in the fields but decided to go anyway. We drive around the Tulip trail trying to decide which fields to visit. Roosengarde was more crowded and I dislike crowds so we went to Tuliptown. I was instantly impressed as the two young ladies selling tickets let us and other potential customers know that the fields had been damaged by the winter floods and the lack of sun and so viewing opportunities were limited. We decided to go anyway and we're glad we did. The lack of people made it more intimate and every employee we met went out of there way to help us. Especially helpful were the "T&T" girls in the gift shop in the barn. We enjoyed the tractor ride and the kettle corn. If you want to see the tulips, come in a couple of weeks but if you want to avoid the traffic and crowds, come early!

There were many trails to choose from. At the top there is a nice view. The trails could be better marked. They were all pretty easy hikes.

The Lincoln Theatre is a treasured historic gem in Skagit County, WA and has been delighting audiences for nearly 100 years. The ambience and updated sound system enhance the already phenomenal and varying events that take place here. Visiting The Lincoln Theatre is a must while in the area and will not disappoint.

Wonderful roadside farm stand - gift shop.
Loved the cute decor, veges, gifts & homemade pies. We purchased a bumble berry pie that was warm from the oven & delicious. Highly recommend.

been coming here for 20 years.
    I am in a 38 ft RV.
This is a nice Campground for RVs there is no sewer hook up . there is a sewer dump station.
the sites are small. sites 12 and 24 are my favorite because the offer shade and privacy.
    there is powered sites .
there are 2 large loops and nice upgraded bathrooms with pay showers.
alot of Families come here and it can get very noisy .
however the Bay is a short walking distance down a small hill. and if you want a thrill there is a corkscrew staircase down the cliff to the beach if you visit the interpretive center up the street.
I always make reservations in advance for any camping.
the staff and small store are very nice.
the park down below is popular for kites picnics and sunbathers.
I suggest that People do the homework and check out your sites and accomodations before coming.

I now know the meaning of going on a wild goose chase now. It was wonderful! Having read an article on the migration of snow geese and trumpeter swans, this was THE place to find. The Skagit Valley is beautiful and the wildlife wonderful. It is so worth the chase all over the valley.

We stopped at the Padilla Bay State Park and had a picnic lunch. Continuing up the road, we saw the sign for the Reserve and decided to take a peek. A busload of kids left as we entered and we had the exhibits to ourselves. This allowed quiet observation and exploration of the exhibits about Padilla Bay and a long study of the aquariums to look at the undersides of sea anemone and flounders in the sand and many other bottom ocean creatures.

We met Kay Reinhardt the Administrator for the facility and she provided us with a short history of the Reserve and NOAA's research of the bay. She further mentioned that she had visited the 29th NOAA research site on Oahu, Paepae o He'eia. and the fishpond that is being rehabilitated in Kaneohe Bay. I grew up living along Kaneohe Bay and knew the fish pond site but had never visited or knew of its history to the Hawaiian people. If I had looked to the left from King Intermediate School that I attended, I would have seen the pond, but it was probably obscured with Mangroves at the time which are being removed now. It was nice hearing Kay's perspective and interest in Hawaii, its people and preservation of its cultural resources.

Consider stopping at the Reserve and take a look around "for free". It is a wonderful and enjoyable experience for anyone curious about the ocean.

For those who love fall decor (& preparing for Halloween, Thanksgiving), this farm needs to be on your list of places to visit!
Pumpkins of all shapes, sizes, colors & combinations. Artistically arranged in beautiful
    vignettes throughout the property.
Been on dry fall days, the autumn wind can be chilly. Dress warmly, as everything is outdoors.
It’s a great place for photos of family & friends.
Beware, you’ll end up with more pumpkins than you could imagine buying!

The fruit flavored wines aren't overly sweet but authentic. The pineapple is from Hawaiianjuice extracts and the blueberry and cranberry wines are from Oregon and Washington fruits. Love them.

I have taken my granddaughter to three classes in the past 3 months (September, October, and November). The first class was on creatures that walk, some with more legs than two and some with no legs; a second class on the apple cycle and making apple cider; and the most recent on salmon and their life cycle. She learned the names of the five salmon. Each class provided hands-on activities and lasted at least an hour.

Stopped by this winery on a vacation in early May. The place was closed, but the owner came out and was kind enough to let us in and give a tasting. The wines and ciders were really tasty, and we had some great conversations! The scenery is lovely, and there’s an old car on-site that makes for great pictures.
