Our horses were gentle and calm, and the trail was a great mix of level, sloped, and wet (crossing and re-crossing a creek!) with gorgeous views of the countryside.
We crossed streams, went up trails for a nice mountain view and walked underneath an arching canopy of trees (just like in the movies!).

Take time to view the beautiful exterior and enter to see the wonderful circular stairs and stunning dome.

... incredibly helpful and welcoming, telling us about the history of the museum, reminding parents and children about the need for safe behavior, and providing information about lunch sites and ice cream parlors!

NOTE: To view the kitchen, you must go down steep, narrow, irregularly spaced stairs into the basement.
