I would highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to try a variety of Port wines and learn some history along the way. It was a small group which made it intimate and helped with answering questions and making friends! The guide’s wife also joined which was lovely. They’re both from the area so had great information about wine, the city, and more! - michael mHauppauge, NY158 contributionsWas a great trip. Our tour guide george was perfect. He was at rhe hotel promptly. Didnt rush us. Was friendly funny helpful. Knowledgeable. The trip to fatima in the morning is rhe beat time as it was empty. You could relax and take pictures nobody there. The porto sites were great We ate lunch on the water by the river. We saw rhe churches and sites. Porto is well worth it. More character than lisbon. The stops in obido is 100% worth it. I would ask to spend more time there than stop elsewhere. Old city. Roman walls castle is a must see in obido

Our tour guide was Pedro, who was incredibly knowledgeable and who made us feel so welcome and comfortable! He was so accommodating, even after we needed to change our start time to an hour later due to an emergency at a very late notice. Truly above and beyond our expectations and we had the most incredible time. - Gabriel Y5 contributionsWe had a fabulous experience thanks to Antonio and his father! He pushed the trip back a bit so we were able to see Porto during the day, watch the sun set on Porto and the ocean, and experince Porto at night as well. It was magical.
We were given a port tasting, charcuterie board, and bottle of bubbly throughout the trip, and Antonio had a really great playlist on his speaker for us. He gave us information on the city and was great to chat with, and also gave us privacy on the bow of the boat.
By far the highlight of the boat trip, I proposed to my boyfriend! It worked out so perfectly, and was a private, intimate engagement experience. Afterwards, Antonio popped the bubbly for us, and made sure to get spectacular photos of us with the sunset.

Even if the fog looked like a blocker for our trip the captain considered the weather and was willing to compensate. - ZoeG19London, UK135 contributionsWe booked this last minute after being let down by another booking, and so glad we did. The tour was really interesting, and our guide answered so many questions! I had the basic tasting, while my partner had the tawny option- a recommendation at the front desk so that we could try more ports between us! We learned so much about the different ports on the tour, we couldn’t resist treating ourselves to a glass of the 2011 vintage, and it was worth it! It was a birthday treat, and the staff topped it up a little to help me celebrate! They also gave us a glass of the white port, and answered even more questions! They were just so incredibly kind on the tour, and we only left so quickly because we were running late for our lunch reservation. We didn’t have a chance to look through the shop, and couldn’t get hold of the ports we liked in town later- so we’ll just have to go back!
