What travellers are saying
- Ted ESimi Valley, CA1,018 contributionsA colonial church. It’s amazing that it’s still standing so many years later. I’d say the highlight of our visit was climbing the bell tower to look out over the city. It costs 35 CordĂ³bas, but was well worth it. Also, every 15 minutes a man climbs the stairs to ring the bells by hand. - chiefbluehawkOnalaska, WI166 contributionsThere are a lot of neat structures in Granada. This is one of the nicer ones. A trip up the Bell Tower is a must. There is a small charge to walk up.Written 12 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- LolaGo1Washington DC, DC6,630 contributionsIt was perfect timing! After leaving the museum, I saw someone opening its doors. I quickly entered and said my prayers. Decorations inside are simple and sparse . I took some photos as reminders of my brief visit here.Written 5 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LolaGo1Washington DC, DC6,630 contributionsHaving visited all Catholic churches in Granada, I think rhis church is the most beautiful. Outside, Its yellow original facades have been maintained. The paintings at the celings are beautiful and colorful. The same is true of the various statutes located at the altar and side areas of this church.
Located near this church are two small parks: One is mainly for the use of the Spaniards while the other one is for the indigents/local during the colonial time. I enjoyed my visit here.Written 4 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
