- Surya KatakamHyderabad, India2,444 contributionsTriveni Ghat is famous for Ganga Aarti which performs everyday here at 06:00 pm. It is believed that those who bathe in the Triveni Ghat experience liberation and Salvation from all their Sins. Triveni Ghat also offers a serene and picturesque ambience. Many people sit by the ghat to meditate, read spiritual articles.
Triveni Ghat is close to the famous Laxman Jhula and Ram Jhula, which are Iconic suspension bridges which are believed to be constructed during Ramayana Period.
We had been here when we were returning back from Badrinath trip. We started from Dev Prayag and reached to Rishikesh by evening 04:00 pm. Got fresh up and reached here for Ganga Aarti. I have seen Ganga Aarti at Varanasi, Haridwar and Rishikesh, but I felt Ganga Aarti performs at this Ghat seems to be more systematic and spiritual compare to other areas. I liked felt very nice here. Try to reach well in advance here to get the right place to sit and View the Ganga Aarti.
Also you can Visit Raghunath temple and Rishi Kund which are Walkable distance from Triveni Ghat.Written 18 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Vikas SadhotraNew Delhi, India1,056 contributionsWe happened to land in this Ashram by chance. Actually we were looking for Swargashram Trust but we landed here. We enquired about the stay and we got a room here. The Ashram is situated right on the bank of river Ganga. The Ashram is big with all the amenities like yoga centre, Meditation, hospital, cafeteria, parking etc. The rooms are small but new and clean. The highlight of the Ashram is the evening aarti of the Ganga which is mesmerizing. The room rent for an AC room was Rs 1000. The cafeteria serves variety of menu and rates are comparable with the market. You will feel mental peace as there is something different in the air. As per me it is the best organised Ashrams in Rishikesh.Written 30 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sandy DMumbai, India1,135 contributionsThis is an iconic bridge landmark of Rishikesh. The original bridge is shut down while a new one is under construction. The best shops and restaurants are on both sides of the bridge. I crossed over on the boat service that operates only during the day. You must visit the area.Written 19 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- VIPIN_GOEL_TP_ImpexNew Delhi, India8,541 contributionsGita Bhawan is situated on east bank of holy river Ganga and is 5 minutes walking distance from Ram Jhula. We had a holy bath in crystal clear water of river Ganga at Gita Bhawan Ghat. It is always safe to bath on ghats instead of raw river banks. After that we visited the main complex of Gita Bhawan, saw the temple there. We visited the Gita Press books shop where large collection of Hindu religious books in different Indian and English language can be purchased at very reasonable prices. As told by our tour guide, Gita Bhawan has several discourse halls and over 1000 rooms for the comfortable stay of devotees free of cost. Gita Bhawan offers pure vegetarian food to devotees at very low cost. Photography is not allowed inside the Gita Bhawan. One can see the "Ram Naam Stambh" temple build by Gita Bhawan management. There are 31,000 million Ram Naam chanted and written in booklets by devotees from all parts of the world in the foundation and walls of the Stambh.Written 17 November 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
