- Surya KatakamHyderabad, India2,378 contributionsTriveni Ghat is famous for Ganga Aarti which performs everyday here at 06:00 pm. It is believed that those who bathe in the Triveni Ghat experience liberation and Salvation from all their Sins. Triveni Ghat also offers a serene and picturesque ambience. Many people sit by the ghat to meditate, read spiritual articles.
Triveni Ghat is close to the famous Laxman Jhula and Ram Jhula, which are Iconic suspension bridges which are believed to be constructed during Ramayana Period.
We had been here when we were returning back from Badrinath trip. We started from Dev Prayag and reached to Rishikesh by evening 04:00 pm. Got fresh up and reached here for Ganga Aarti. I have seen Ganga Aarti at Varanasi, Haridwar and Rishikesh, but I felt Ganga Aarti performs at this Ghat seems to be more systematic and spiritual compare to other areas. I liked felt very nice here. Try to reach well in advance here to get the right place to sit and View the Ganga Aarti.
Also you can Visit Raghunath temple and Rishi Kund which are Walkable distance from Triveni Ghat.Written 18 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Enrique AlexNew York City, NY27 contributionsI had an incredible experience at Parmarth Niketan in Rishikesh. Attending the Ganga Aarti was truly mesmerizing, and I felt a deep spiritual connection to the divine. The serene environment allowed me to spend quality time reflecting and connecting with nature, and the peaceful surroundings made my stay refreshing and uplifting. Parmarth Niketan offers a perfect blend of tranquility, spirituality, and nature, leaving me spiritually enriched and rejuvenated.
However, there were a few aspects that could be improved. I spent the entire day waiting for a seat in the main area for the Aarti but didn’t get the chance to participate, which made me feel that things were somewhat commercialized. Additionally, the rooms lacked basic amenities like toothpaste, toothbrush, and soap. Despite these issues, I would still recommend Parmarth Niketan for those seeking peace and spiritual connection.Written 9 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sandy DMumbai, India1,110 contributionsThis is an iconic bridge landmark of Rishikesh. The original bridge is shut down while a new one is under construction. The best shops and restaurants are on both sides of the bridge. I crossed over on the boat service that operates only during the day. - ChaitanyaBarodaVadodara, India82 contributionsWe were suggested this place bya friend who visited in 2020. This place is also known as Baba Kalikamliwala Ashram. It is on the east river bank of Ganga river.
believe me, we were flabbergasted with the place. We booked a fully furnished air conditioned one bedroom kitchen apartment after a lots of efforts. It has to be booked ONLINE ONLY and the decision makers are based out of Calcutta.
But, it was worth all the efforts.
You have to go to the canteen for your breakfast, lunch and dinner. Food is very economical.
The whole place is full of life.
Our flat no.316 was very close to River Ganga. hardly 100 mts.We attended Ganga aarti for all the seven days we stayed there.
IF YOU JUST WANT TO REST IN CLEANEST ENVIORNMENT, DO YOG EVERYDAY, AND HAVE A TIME OF YOUR LIFE, YOU MUST VIVIT THIS PLACE.
