We have been going to the Jain Spice shop (the owners run this cooking class) here and there while staying in Rishikesh. There we got a flyer for the class. We learned how to make paratha, paneer butter masala, palak paneer, raita(yogurt), 2 chutneys and other things I can't recall.

Our host. Naleem, was very knowledgable, helpful and kind. The class wasn't just a cooking class, there were some Ayurvedic principles mixed in and everything was spoken about in good detail. I have been cooking for years, even working as a professional cook in NYC for a few years, and there were many things Naleem opened my eyes too. Back home we have been using the principles she taught us when making curries.

Whether you are a beginner cook or an expert, you can learn something from here. And yes, you get to eat everything you make!!

I recently attended the 300 hour meditation teacher training at Real Happiness Meditation Ashram and it was an extraordinary experience. The serene environment, expert guidance, and genuine warmth from the entire staff made it an ideal place to deepen my personal meditation practice. The sessions were thoughtfully structured, blending mindfulness, yoga, and silent(vipassana) meditation, which left me feeling rejuvenated and centered. The natural setting also added to the overall tranquility I received. I highly recommend Real Happiness to anyone seeking a transformative and peaceful retreat!

This is a very special place indeed. You can feel high vibrational energy as soon as you enter. I meditated for half an hour alone in front of the Ganesha statue, listening to windchimes and saw vibrant healing colours in my mind's eye. Maa welcomed me warmly and made me a lovely tea as we discussed Vedanta. Maa advised me on some spiritual texts to help me along my path. The setting for the hermitage itself is one of the most stunning landscapes I have ever seen. This gorgeous place is definitely worth a visit, especially if you'd like to escape the busyness of Rishikesh.

It was our first Yoga retreat and our very first visit to India and we absolutely fell in love.

Yogi Vimal and Yogini Elena have so much knowledge and are truly the best teachers we could have asked for. We loved how our retreat was tailored to our individual needs and it surpassed any of the expectations.
We visited mesmerizing temples with detailed explanation about its God and also the story, we attended Aarti ceremonies and got the taste of Hindu spirituality, we visited Ashrams as well as meditation caves and saw breathtaking sunrise. We also had a chance to taste Indian cuisine in local restaurants and stoked our suitcases with gifts for Friends and Family. The highlight of our trip would definitely be around Ma Ganga, it's majesty, not-from-this-Earth energy and magnificent view: the dip in the Ganga with the cleanest water, close to the source, it was soul refreshing.
We also had a glimpse of what true meaning of Yoga is, we learnt physical movements, learnt pranayama techniques, practiced meditation and mantra chanting.

Yogi Vimal and Yogini Elena have a very special place in our hearts.

    We are definitely coming back.

Anoop is incredible, as a teacher, as an energy worker, as a doctor, and as a host. This retreat went beyond expectations and helped me to recover my mucles, my discipline, and helped mevto understand how to heal from an injuru in my back that none therapist could help with. The practice opened up channels in me I never knew existed. My heart was opened and my chakras centred in a way that gave me experiences so amazing that iI have been weeks to digest the enormity of them. The people in the retreat were all so wonderful and nurturing that the space created allowed growth not just for me, but for everyone involved.

I'm really grateful for this expirience.
There are really good yoga teachers in this school.
My expirience with Spanish course was nice, translators are very good and you can perfectly understand all your classes. In a month I could feel like a big family.
    Thanks a lot.

    Namaste 🙏

Having yoga nidra included in our hotel stay was such a lovely bonus. It set the tone for our walk to the Aarti.

I arranged the evening as a surprise for my friend's birthday. I was overwhelmed by the warmth of Amit and his family. We felt the whole evening was a genuine Indian experience with lovely people. We sampled gorgeous Indian food, such fun Bollywood dancing, Henna painting, dressing in Saris and learned about the local culture. Amit made us feel like we had been friends for years and nothing was too much. To top it off, they made a suprise birthday cake, which was so amazing I could have cried. Would absolutely recommend this experience.
