- Had delightful history lesson by the staff who gave us the tour. I've been a Texan for nearly 50 years but never had heard this part of the state's history and origin. Amazing what people did and how great that it is preserved for us to learn from.Written 25 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The oldest city in Texas, with historic buildings, a walkable downtown area with brick streets & many shops & cafes to explore. We always stay at the Fredonia Hotel & about a block away is the Fredonia Brewery, one of our favorite spots in town. They have really good craft beers, friendly knowledgeable people, indoor/outdoor kid & dog friendly seating, games, live music, food trucks etc. It’s a great hang outWritten 13 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - 19611969Nacogdoches, TXGreat place for historical context of early Texas. One of the only buildings commissioned by the Republic of Texas for higher education still on its original location. Now a museum. Very limited hours so plan wisely.Written 22 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- We call this favorite Vineyard a "hole in the wall". Every time we are close to Nacogdoches, we plan on stopping by and we are never disappointed! We love their wineritas and Andy's wood fire pizza! It's a great atmosphere and really sweet people! - What a great find. Kind of out of the way but well worth the drive. Just what you are looking for if you are a shooter, they have everything you need, whether you like indoor or outdoor shooting. Ammo and all else is there at very reasonable prices and the folks are really good people.
