Had delightful history lesson by the staff who gave us the tour. I've been a Texan for nearly 50 years but never had heard this part of the state's history and origin. Amazing what people did and how great that it is preserved for us to learn from.

Stopped by to get a taste of the town while walking the brick street. It was spectacular! A lot of great exhibits hilighting the town history, and be sure to pop downstairs for the video as well!
A cute gift shop area with all sorts of local authors’ works, some cute stuff, and a great experience overall!

Nacogdoches is such a hidden gem in East Texas. The oldest city in Texas, with historic buildings, a walkable downtown area with brick streets & many shops & cafes to explore. We always stay at the Fredonia Hotel & about a block away is the Fredonia Brewery, one of our favorite spots in town. They have really good craft beers, friendly knowledgeable people, indoor/outdoor kid & dog friendly seating, games, live music, food trucks etc. It’s a great hang out

Great place for historical context of early Texas. One of the only buildings commissioned by the Republic of Texas for higher education still on its original location. Now a museum. Very limited hours so plan wisely.

Ed and Gwen Cole have blessed our East Texas community for many years with selfless giving and The Cole Art Center is just one more gift. While available for sponsored events and an excellent venue for such it is worth the time to visit and see what's on exhibition.

We call this favorite Vineyard a "hole in the wall". Every time we are close to Nacogdoches, we plan on stopping by and we are never disappointed! We love their wineritas and Andy's wood fire pizza! It's a great atmosphere and really sweet people! Recommend to make reservations or call in an order to go!

What a great find. Kind of out of the way but well worth the drive. Just what you are looking for if you are a shooter, they have everything you need, whether you like indoor or outdoor shooting. Ammo and all else is there at very reasonable prices and the folks are really good people. Love this Place!
