The gardens are lovely. The variety of plants is quite impressive. There are paved trails which makes it easy for those with mobility issues to enjoy the gardens.

Thr only issue we had was finding the entrance. It is very narrow and not well sign posted.

There are lots of building to see. It is a pleasant trip back one hundred and more years. This is a non-profit so please be sure to pay the admission which is not much, I think it was $10 each, no senior discount, but it is a not for profit! The staff were nice and you walk around at your own pace.

Had delightful history lesson by the staff who gave us the tour. I've been a Texan for nearly 50 years but never had heard this part of the state's history and origin. Amazing what people did and how great that it is preserved for us to learn from.

We only walked 2 miles but very enjoyable. Although I live near and visit Nacogdoches often, I was not aware Lantana Creek Trail until doing research on walking trails. When time allows I plan to walk the entire trail.

Stopped by to get a taste of the town while walking the brick street. It was spectacular! A lot of great exhibits hilighting the town history, and be sure to pop downstairs for the video as well!
A cute gift shop area with all sorts of local authors’ works, some cute stuff, and a great experience overall!

A very historic cemetery with some interesting graves. There are quite a few people buried there that had an impact on the founding of the Republic of Texas and forming the state. It is well worth the visit.

Very nice nature walk. Lots of trees and little animals running around. Very shady too. Good place to take your leashed dog!

Nacogdoches is such a hidden gem in East Texas. The oldest city in Texas, with historic buildings, a walkable downtown area with brick streets & many shops & cafes to explore. We always stay at the Fredonia Hotel & about a block away is the Fredonia Brewery, one of our favorite spots in town. They have really good craft beers, friendly knowledgeable people, indoor/outdoor kid & dog friendly seating, games, live music, food trucks etc. It’s a great hang out

While visiting our son Dylan, a Forestry major at SFA, we discovered this beautiful spot in the pines. My son had already been to the Blueberry Place and knew I would love it (having around 17 Blueberry bushes myself). It was amazing to say the least. Huge, endless bushes filled to the brim with giant, ripe blueberries. Row after row of abundant bushes! I loved the beautiful flower garden as well (not for picking, of course). Everything was well organized, and they even had cold water out to help beat the heat. You pay by the bucket, and they provide the harnesses and buckets for a hands-free picking experience. It was beautiful, and so much fun! I can't wait to go back, and hope to learn some of their Blueberry growing secrets!!! It's also a lovely, short drive to this enchanting spot in the pines of Nacogdoches!

We really enjoyed our visit to the Farmer's Market. Several different options and not only relegated to food items. Most of the vendors accepted credit cards but the Market also sold 'cards' for $5 each which you can purchase with a credit card and you can pay using those as well. Change was given in cash when appropriate.

Great place for historical context of early Texas. One of the only buildings commissioned by the Republic of Texas for higher education still on its original location. Now a museum. Very limited hours so plan wisely.

It's just a simple marker, but it represents a time when this town came together to help a nation mourn for the loss of seven brave astronauts. Worth walking the block or so off the main street if you're strolling around anyway. Search the address: 135 N. Fredonia St.

A must-see place. We arrived on a cold fall afternoon to listen to a circle of pickers by the old stove strumming away. The store is filled with old toys (new in the box) and antique instruments. We found very interesting books and old world handmade brooms. My daughter had never seen a handmade straw broom before, only the plastic ones from Walmart. :) The nice lady who checked us out did the math by hand including the tax on a carbon copy receipt book. She was super friendly and a former English teacher.

I toured the property before it opened. The home is modeled to match the time my Great-Great Uncle lived there. They asked me for info of the family.
