- fizzy1991Nashville, TN5,949 contributionsThis is a great place to just go walking. Long trails with nice manicured walkways. Not a lot of shade but great for a day when it isn't 100 degrees in the Texas heat.Written 17 October 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Randy J BFrisco, TX686 contributionsThis course is a long course with some very challenging holes. You will make it a lot tougher if you don’t stay in the fairways. It was in pretty decent shape for the winter and the fact we played a day after it poured rain. It is a pricier course so go enjoy and hit em straight!Written 12 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MarkMM55Denton, TX1,280 contributionsStarted our day at the Arrowhead Grill for lunch. Very good. First, let me say, I live golf course grills and 19th Holes! Usually I very much enjoy both the food and the drinks. This time I found a pretty limited menu. Mainly sandwiches, but they had a burger which I ordered. It came cooked as I requested (medium rare) with a very large hand crafted patty served with all the veggies on a soft bun. Excellent! My friend had the Club Sandwich which he rated very good. Service was very good and very friendly. Next we visited the pro shop. Much more roomy than I expected with very friendly staff who were more than willing to answer any question these “course first timers” asked. Then the course. We played the Creek Course of the two courses available. The other is called the Lakes Course. The Creeks Course is the higher rated of the two and proved to be worthy of its rating. Some very interesting layouts and some nice challenging holes. Greens are super large with lots of elevations. All in all a very nice day at a local muni course. The course is well maintained fir a course that gets a good bit of play. We will definitely be back for both golf and lunch.Written 5 February 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Dalton M1 contributionHey listen, I'm a teacher (44 Yrs). I have a little indoor studio with a simulator. I've been hitting balls on this range way back in the Golden Bear days. Nice smooth chiping and putting greens. They have a short game ares. Target green you can work on your INSIDE 20 GAME. My golf strenght coach Chris Ownbey facility is their. Always has good rocks to hit.
The staff has always been friendly toward me. They have like 6 teaching pros that don't have egos. They have always extended me the curtiey to film, bring students out to work on something. I've shot a good percentage of my YouTube Channel segments there. I can't tell you how much I've appreciated the staff.
Oh, and they have hitting area under cover heated. I've hit there many a night in the winter. Filming is excellent at night. On video you can see flight, really reinforces talking points. Simulator teaching is one thing for the eyes need to see flight. The Highlands facility is just part of my routine weekly golf routine in one way or another. Just a good place to practice.Written 10 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
