We enjoyed every minute of our guided tour with Josh H. today! His enthusiasm and knowledge transported us back to the recordings and experiences he shared with us. When in Memphis, don’t miss the Sun Studio tour.

This museum should be on your list of things to do while in Memphis. This museum was informative and the exhibits captured the moments of history. I loved everything about this museum and feel all the schools in Memphis should be visiting this museum. The staff was kind and helpful. I will visit again the next time I’m in Memphis.

We had a great time and really enjoyed this tour. Im not a massive Elvis fan, however stepping back in time to tour his mansion, out-houses, grounds and memorial garden was fantastic and a real incite into his life. Once back across the road at the entrance area we walked around his private jets and cars and were blown away by the huge museum of memorabilia on display. The only let down was the food and service in the restaurant diner, which with so many young staff present, should have been much better. This tour experience is highly recommended, even if like me, you just enjoy a handful of his songs.

I was blown away by this museum! It was well put together. I was familiar with Stax records but I had no idea of the history and the part it played in the music industry. The self-guided Started with a great video about the Stax story. If you are a fan of music you must visit this museum. This visit left a strong lasting impression.

Awesome. Plain Great. Family and I (wife and 5 and 1 year old) had a blast. Very close to animals. Clean and spacey environment works great with strollers. Will definitely go back.

This is a must-do if you love rock and soul music and want to learn more about its history. The museum is well organized in its presentation. There is an introductory video and then you proceed through the museum's various rooms while using a audio headset. Unlike some museum audio headset systems, this one actually works very well. You really get to understand how and why Memphis became a hotbed of rock and soul music. Highly recommended for music fans.

What a fascinating historic story behind these beautiful animals. Would advise you get there early if you want a good view as it was really busy and did involve a long time standing around.

Today 1/20/24 at 2pm we were going to go see this historic place although we couldn't attend as the building is on fire. We are hopeful that many of the items were able to be saved but this is scary for all of them.
May the owners and city of Memphis still support this great historical time of American history!

Beale Street is a whole vibe. Closed to motor traffic you can wander down the street and find just about what ever you want. Food. Drinks. Music. Souvenirs. Interesting Characters. Old Timey Soda Shop. Definitely worth a stop.

Beautiful stadium, almost a mini Busch stadium. Crowd was a bit down for a weekday game, but still a fun environment & nice place for a stadium in the heart of the city just a couple blocks from Beale St

An outstanding park, it has it all. Well worth the visit. Especially in good weather, tons to do outside. Not your normal park!

Frankly for the $5 admission price, this has to be THE bargain of Memphis (and beyond). Collection is priceless. Even if you don't like Asian art (focus is on Chinese Qing jade, but not solely), prepare to be impressed. Jade ships, a jade carriage, malachite and ivory horses (almost an entire circus in various materials), and exploration of Chinese theatre puppets, the list goes on. I even saw kids enjoying this. there are more delecate pieces, more scholarly pieces, some decent signage. Just really really good - and it look like nothing from the street. It's all housed in the basement of an office building and pretty unassuming but you forget that once you go through. Don't miss the Judaica exhibit - you do not have to be of the faith to appreciate. And save some time for reflection and reading in the personal remberances of the Holocaust - this isn't a showy exhibit, just authentic recollections that hopefully remind us of of what others have gone through as we lament crabgrass, 6% inflation and the price of gas. Highly recommended.
