What travellers are saying
- CLH79Springville, AL240 contributionsWe love Graceland and the King of Rock & Roll! The house was beautiful as always. We saw Lisa Marie and her son's burial plots for the first time. Elvis Presleys Memphis across the road is so nice! Love the planes and so much other stuff to see! Everything about all his movies and his jumpsuits and records etc etc. Restaurants and 7 giftshops also! You can stay a few hours or all day! Buy tickets online in advance is easiest too. Parking is $10 and you can buy that in advance too. We will go back again and again!Written 15 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jonathan sVicksburg, MI89 contributionsVery fun. So much history. Josh Hurley our guide was very friendly and his personal touch of humor and style was fun.(good luck on the acting endeavors). So glad we made the stop!Written 16 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Renee D12 contributionsThis museum is very informative. Make sure you have plenty of time to see everything. There is so much to see. It sure opens your eyes to the struggles of African Americans and how unfairly they were treated.Written 22 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Paul MLuton, UK24 contributionsGreat stop to see the march of the ducks a must see for anyone visiting Memphis. So much to see even after the ducks at lanskeys as an exampleWritten 22 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - jennifera399Reading, Pennsylvania, United States215 contributionsAmazing up close views of some of the most adorable animals you will never be able to encounter in everyday life. Also there is a great probability of not seeing the polar bears if the temperatures are too hot for then to be out.Written 9 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Tina CStroud, UK6 contributionsWe read reviews about Beale Street and we're somewhat apprehensive as we visited. We found a fairly quiet street during the Thursday afternoon which got busier by nine, when we left. We felt entirely safe and saw no reason to feel concerned. The music in the bars ranged from excellent to Karaoke. BB Kings had the best ribs and music. A must go.Written 16 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- KoolhausGamesVancouver, Canada4 contributionsRun...don't walk..(actually drive, bus, uber, taxi are also ok) to take this great tour! It's about a 20 min bus ride from downtown Memphis. Even though I knew a lot about Stax Records and their artists having grown up in the 60's and played a lot of Stax Records' artists songs in various cover bands at the time, there is a load of history I wasn't aware of. I only knew the recording artists and songs. Brought back so many memories and feelings of the music I loved and still do. And be sure to allocate the full 2 hours on the tour. Stax Records history is also a must for any entrepreneur, new or old, on the ups and downs of starting and running a business. So much to see and learn and so many feelings to explore. Don't miss it.Written 9 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- MstqMIManistique1,297 contributionsThis museum is amazing!! (It's a Smithsonian affiliate) First, there's a short informational movie, then you get a headset to do a self-guided tour. The narration is great, also includes songs. The exhibits are fantastic and there are some old fashioned juke boxes that you can pick songs to play. Definitely recommend.Written 30 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Beth H1 contributionWhat a beautiful park. We peddled our way through the park and covered about 8 miles. So many areas to explore, walk or ride.Written 10 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- travelgal058Wisconsin, USA219 contributionsI was really looking forward to going to this Estate/Museum but a fire has significantly damaged it. Memphis has many places you can visit to learn about the Civil War, enslavement of blacks and this will be great when it reopens in the future.Written 21 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - David W110 contributionsThis is one of those places that make you appreciate humanity.
This is not advertised nor any admission. Someone took the time to carve out this grotto and decorate it with stones and biblical scenes. Most likely a loved one who lost someone who is lain in the cemetery.
Very quick stop, so if you’re traveling on the interstate stop by.Written 5 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
