What a hidden treasure. Langamull Beach is glorious! You’ll need to walk around 2km along farm tracks, making friends with the sheep and a couple of friendly donkeys, but the beach is worth the effort. Granite and sand, sheep grazing down to the tide mark, and lovely clear blue water. Hiking boots recommended, swimming costumes and towels as well!

After a good walk to the Stones at Quinish we were pretty hungry so headed for lunch at the Old Byre. The soup and baguette combo was very generous. Hearty and tasty soup and a whole filled baguette (most places only do a half size for a combo!). I opted for the Tobermory smoked trout with cream cheese which was delicious, as was the soup. With no room for the delicious baking, we opted to take some home for tea. Reasonable prices and everything prepared to order. The upstairs museum is full of tiny models of life on Mull in the past (lots of lovely detail at a height suitable for children), geology photos/exhibits, stuffed birds (which all died of natural causes, you'll be pleased to hear), photos of flowers, fungi, etc. Some lovely, original gifts and postcards in the shop too.

Just back from a week away. What a little Tardis this is. The more you look, the more you find. Fabulous location, great owners. Don't go if you want the high life, DO GO if you want to see nature and relax to your hearts content. Loved it.
