The cape Byron walk was an easy stroll past the lighthouse and down to the beach.

Whales galore and we loved all the info we received about the whales. There was so much to learn. It surprised us how much we actually didn't know. Angus handled the boat well and we felt safe at all times. - Danette M12 contributionsthis experience was worth the money! the instructors were funny and kind. i had never kayaked before but it was easy to do and learn. we saw so much stuff like whales, dolphins, and a sting ray jumping out of the water. they talk to their team who lets them

Harry was so knowledgable and friendly and took us to the most beautiful waterfall, lake and beach lookout. - paudie g1 contributionWent on surfing lessons with my two nephews who were on holidays here from the US. We had a brillent day out together with Terry and his team. I have no experience at surfing but with terrys direction I was able to stand on the board before the end of the session. Awsome instructor for beginners. We also got to meet his lovely dog Mango 😀. - Dominique E1 contributionHad the best time with Let's Go Surfing! Mitch and Ava were great instructors that made sure everyone was safe, and had lots of fun! I strongly recommend anyone going to Byron and looking to get a taste of surfing, that you do it here! If I was staying longer in Byron, I would have booked private lessons with either Mitch or Ava as they were so incredible. - Jo BSydney, Australia4 contributionsThis tour was the highlight of our trip, we LOVED it and took my 11 yr old step son with us who loved it too.Best to book direct with the company though as we did have issues when booking through a third party (Get Your Guide).
The tour was a great adventure and the team really worked hard to get the group into good spots where there could be activity, very informative about the ocean, marine life and bay, we had fun throughout - we luckily saw dolphins and they popped up right up beside our kayak to say hello, a couple of times.
There were a few whale splashes in the distance but I don't think any passing when we were out, some of the group saw a resident turtle come up for air too.

Still not great at surfing but got the basics thanks to the patience teachers. - debbie f1 contributionWendy was very helpful, keeping me up to date on the likelihood of the tour going ahead, due to numbers of bookings and the weather, and offering alternatives. Luckily it went ahead and we saw a platypus even though it was raining and the water more murky than usual.
The picnic was good, with local ingredients too.
